Ari’s pain & visible emotional upset was skipped over & we went right to exploring/deciphering the pain of her dad. ppl do that SO much - ➡️ “i see you’re hurt… but what about (him)?” we don’t know what Ari’s experience is with her dad. to offer that she gives her dad compassion without knowing their relational experience is ignorant, and reinforces that her feelings don’t matter. ARI-your experience matters; i’m sorry you’re hurting. from experience, it’s possible you won’t repair your relationship w/ your dad, if he isn’t willing to do that work. that’s super painful. continue to move thru your healing process & surround yourself w/ dad (elder) energy. that’s a great supplement & disruptor to healing dad stuff. sending u love 💕
@andreaus.
@andreaus. 2 жыл бұрын
False, related to her “pain & visible emotional upset” being skipped over. It was direct and also nuanced. Charlemagne offered his understanding (which I would say at this point he’s quite qualified) on mental health surrounding family issues, specifically ‘daddy issues’, which opened her up to reveal more about how SHE’s dealing. And that revealing can sound like “yes”, “woooooww”, “absolutely”, etc…. She was in a safe space and I salute the team for being delicate and respectful. *I DO see your initial point, however, this wasn’t that. At all. With Love. 💫✨⭐️❤️
@goodtrouble841
@goodtrouble841 2 жыл бұрын
@@andreaus. thanks for your perspective. and in my anecdotal & doctoral expertise, more time was spent taking about the fantasy of her dad’s pain & experiences than allowing Ari’s pain to take up full space. that’s a clear observation; not an opinion. i know what i’m looking at. it’s greater than a right or wrong; i never mentioned fault. my lens is bigger. it’s simply a growth opportunity for holding space for another in pain & grief without feeling a need to fix it or offer anything. just to sit in acknowledgment & empathy. that takes practice. thus, i stand fully by what i stated & observed.

@@andreaus. Some people just want to sing kumbaya and be coddled when they’re emotional. The interviewers always promote mental health awareness and tried to give her practical advice on dealing with family issues. Had nothing to do with not caring about her feelings or being a woman smh, you said it spot on man. I thought it was a beautiful moment but I see not everyone wants to be practical and move forward . I have been meaning to listen to her album n after watching this interview i immediately went n downloaded it on Apple music. I freakin loooove it. It just flows …no skip needed. Its giving a lil Eryka Badu & Jill Scoot n just Ari Lennox her own vibe. Im definitely going to be keeping up with her n her career from now on. This interview n this new album absolutely made me a fan. Wishing her many more blessings n may she continue to heal. With Uncle Charlas awareness n knowledge on mental health i feel like this was the perfect space for her spirit to feel comfortable enough to release some of the pain she carries. Divinely aligned is what this interview was 🙏🏽🤍 All the talk , work n awareness Charlamagne has been putting in over the years has all been to prepare him for moments like this. The whole Crew handled this interview beautifully esp Ari herself. I really loved that Yee reminded her that she is beautiful. Thanx Guys for another great show n this one is going on my top fav ❤️🙌🏾

What's crazy is I know that feeling that Ari is going through. 2019 and 2020 that love addiction for me was extreme. Just KEPT running into men who weren't available emotionally and never wanted a relationship. I had and still is digging deep. Definitely daddy issues thats for sure. Self love and doing every and anything for yourself has helped me tremendously. That feeling never goes away but I think its best to stop focusing on chasing love. You will continue to attract what you don't want trust me sis! I pray she gets the love she wants and deserve!!!!

The part where she shared about her relationship with her father was such a powerful and vulnerable moment. I wish the hosts would have validated her inner child. She didn't need to hear "give our parents grace"this was very hard for Ari to do and it makes me sad that Chalamagne gave her solutions instead of just listening and validating her inner child. I'm so proud of you Ari for doing the painful work to heal yourself and your legacy and for you choosing to break the cycles.

@thisgirlisfancy
@thisgirlisfancy 2 жыл бұрын
@@nishashawn2021 O.P is not saying not to give parents grace. An understanding person knows that which Ari definitely seems to be. However, in a moment of vulnerability and pain some things should go unsaid. She doesn’t need to be reminded to give someone grace as only truly she knows her situation. She was also in a space to have her pain and experienced or validated. Sometimes listening is more powerful than any word of advice that can ever be given. Side note, that is why sex should not be loosely participated in because many are not ready for the responsibility that follows. Therapy is available for parents who want to be parents. It’s nothing wrong with accountability accompanying that “grace”.
