Like there is no cure , side effects vary from prolonged periods , it does affect ALL women but black women are more high risk and the best way to maintain it is to exercise and maintain a healthy diet. That was a missed opportunity for women to learn that. I hope they interview Victoria or Keke who are experiencing it.

I too have PCOS, diagnosed 5 years ago after several years of dealing with the effects of the disorder. I say Again, DISORDER, therefore, there is no prescribed medication specifically for the condition. Medication is prescribed based on an individuals symptoms and their needs. That could simply be birth control pills to prevent ovarian cyst, or an aid to help in fertility issues, laser hair removal, etc .... Furthermore, the way it affects every woman is different. Just because a woman can have some of the issues you spoke on does not mean she will have all, nor does it mean that every woman will be affected in the same way. There are 3 factors in which it takes for a diagnosis of PCOS. Even those 3 factors can be different for every woman. Such as, you may have a high insulin reserve, ovarian cyst, and a high count of androgen hormones. Or, you could grow unwanted facial hair, or in other unwanted places. You could have A male pattern balding at the hair line, or crown area. You know, like yours, how your hair line looks very thin and pushed back. 🤷🏾‍♀ There could be any number of these conditions plus some for any woman. I've never had a weight issue, a beard, etc. So please know what you're speaking on. Also, there are 1 out of every 6 women with this condition. You may have it and not even know it. So many women will never know if they never see a spealist to check. Knowledge is power! ❤
