I remember one time I was at Houston Improv and he was a surprise guest, he was waiting to go on standing in the hallway. Ali had a showcase at the Houston Improv in 2017 when I was in college. Every Tuesday I’d go get a basket of wings and a Heineken and watch this man for hours. I had a 8:30a class on Wednesday and there’d be some nights I’m getting home at 2:30a cause Ali was on stage just storytelling since 11p. I was there like it was my damn religion. Thank you Ali for helping me get over a lot of personal stuff and for those Tuesday nights!

I met Ali years ago when we attended TSU. He used to always be on campus in a suit and now I'm learning it's because he worked at a men’s apparel store. He was a little older than us and I found out later it was because he spent time in prison before he went to college. I remember we all used to go to Just Joking Comedy Club on Wednesdays for Apollo night and he would host along with Tony Gross. Good ol' days.

Went to his most recent comedy show here in Boston at the Wang and let me tell you something me and my friends kept saying SCAM! alll night lol Ali! truly 1 of 1 story telling brotha- his best move was re-releasing his specials on KZbin that's how I found em, a true fan knows not to trust comedy central, keep it goin, keep it honest and real Ali, blessing
