I believe the mental health card gets thrown around way too often, but I believe she definitely has some form of bipolar or schizophrenia disorder. I recently dated a woman with schizoaffective disorder and when she went off her medication, she would flip out and start destroying stuff over the most minor comments or requests or non-comments. Our last fight , I asked her if she could please not smoke a cigarette in my house and she threw the biggest temper tantrum ever and threw all the silverware from the kitchen at me. When I came home from work that day , I discovered ahe packed all her stuff and all the food from the house and all of my shoes and tried to pawn em. I don't know this woman obviously but I definitely believe she's not right upstairs and it's also a big red flag that she's even living with and smelling up her grandparents house in the first place.

I have had clinical depression since I was a teen, still shower everyday(sometimes go one day without one if I'm staying home but never more then that) even at times when i felt totally worthless I still did it cause i didnt want to make other people deal with my problems. It's not just about depression, it comes down to do you think about others or not.

This is nothing new in the mental health system. Many women with MH issues and hx of sexual assault use it as self-defense to avoid being sexually assaulted. I had a few clients that did that. I had to get a GYN to come in and have a talk with them to encourage them about their personal hygiene because they were more focused on keeping others away and not their personal health. Think about it, why was she even living with her grandparents? What's in her past? Hope the grandfather is okay.
