D Ham that’s not the argument tho. A lot of rappers have #1 albums. He’s talking the impact he had on the game and the culture. That was off of Snoop’s back. Snoop never had the “I struggled to get on” the nigga came out and EXPLODED from the jump. He was THE hip hop cultural staple and that light exposed how great Tupac was once he got to death row. Tupac would not be regarded as high had he never went to Dogg’s house. All that Blood’n and Crip’n and going hard on tracks was Snoop’s influence, but Pac was loyal to Suge’s choices when he should’ve stayed by Dogg’s side. Look at where he is today? Gettin’ Martha Stewart Living money and still burning blunts on his Crip shyt.

And that's what this amounts to. Did Lane want revenge? If so Pac was not the most accessible target, of the ones who stomped Lane. I disagree bout the Pac and Snoop comparison.. Tupac was hard AF before joining Death Row
@ronaldblair99695 жыл бұрын
But you didnt understand what he was saying pac was hard af before the row but snoop was better snoop pretty much changed the game when he came on pac wanter to join the row because of how the music sounded with dre doing the beats combined with snoops flow thats what made rappers wanting to collab with dre and or snoop other artist on def row had to have snoop on the record to make it even more of a hit because snoop was so big at that time (this is before pac went to def row)
@ultimatefitness8335 жыл бұрын
@@ronaldblair9969 Again I disagree.. Pac was mega star prior to teaming up with the Row. Fool was in Movies and had several albums out before joining Death-Row. Snoop had that one album then flopped ever since. Pac got to Death-Row and took over. If Snoop was bigger/better he wouldnt have lost that shine yet he did and took 2nd place to Pac. And couldve did them same numbers without Snoop or Dre on the album. Thats why they all got jealous once they realize this dude came and stole the show.

@9595113 Yes Doggystyle was a hit however what about the remaining album afterwards ???? And tupac did sign to Death-Row for Snoop.. He sign to get out of jail then planned to leave after 3album agreement

Both of they careers were not as good w/o Dre. Even Suge said he only needed Pac once he joined Death Row. I think G's opinion was informed by his childhood. Adults know if you put Snoops catalog & content beside Tupacs the substance is uncontested. The depth is not on the same level at all, with respect to Calvin. Some people are just the type to put Gin & Juice before Brendas Got a Baby, Aint no Fun before Dear Mama, and Murda was the case before Keep Ya head Up. These Pac records are all prior to Death Row. Snoop had monster production and a collective of artists and producers called Death Row behind him. Pac came up dolo and Suge and Snoop both wanted him. Council of Nicea hid the fact that Jesus had a wife and kids? That's laughable and easily disproven. Stay in your gangsta rap lane bro.

Lanche 007 So was I. Both were big but on different levels. Snoop was a commercial success out the gate because of Dre. Pac came from digital Underground and built his catalog. When Pac did Juice and Above the Rim he was up there, but more still more underground. After he got locked. Dear Mama was his first real commercial number one hit. Snoop came out with hits from the gate. He was introduced on a Hollywood soundtrack DeepCover. But the funny thing is, Pac came home and took over. Snoop only has one solo album I still listen to, Doggystyle. Whereas with Pac, I can still pretty much listen to anything

Honestly I understand were G' coming from, I remember when Snoop dropped he was rap at a point of time especially west coast rap when he dropped he hit the floor runnin you have to give him and a handful of other rappers who are still relevant this day but for 2pac and Biggie being gone for 20+ years and still being relevant it speaks for itself, Snoop made you grow your hair and 2pac made you cut it now that's influence.
@59DGO594 жыл бұрын
Pac and Big are still relevant to this day PRECISELY because they died in their prime. That’s always the case, no matter what industry : same thing for Socrates, Julius Caesar, Alexander the Great, Zyzz, etc. Make Snoop die in 93 or 94 and undo the murder of Pac and Big, and that would be Snoop considered the best rapper of all time
