As a black woman I was so embarrassed to see this woman so determined to attack Mr. Elder. She had no intention of having an intelligent conversation with Mr Elder. She had her mind set on attack with a spiteful condescending arrogant attitude. Nothing about her questioning was professional. it was childish, immature, pathetic, and it was very apparent it was a hit job instead of a conversation. We need more people willing to have open dialogue, and share. We have a lot to learn from each other if we just listen instead of tearing each other apart. If I can research the facts Mr Elder spoke about so can she.

Yes, she was unwilling to recognize nuance. She wants blanket statements. Larry is very knowledgeable about the black community. He has sought to bring up the black community, but you’d never know it to listen to her. Believing a baby is living before it is born is not a crime. Used to be if you shot a pregnant woman, you got charged with assault on 2, but dems don’t care about babies, so you can shoot a pregnant woman and as long as it is only the baby dies, no one is charged with murder. Dems want to be able to murder a baby until it takes its first breath. Some say to be able to kill it until it is taken home from the hospital. 😢

The same ppl claiming he won, are the same ppl who won’t vote for him or donate to his campaign. ANYTIME you have to correct something, the issue has to be examined and addressed, it’s not victimhood, ppl just don’t want to understand or admit to what causes the “problems”. Using old outdated stats that don’t apply to today’s society is a way of beating around the bush. Same thing w the “housing” issue today and ppl comparing us to earlier generations that bought homes.

I'm not American, I'm brown from Asia. Why do Black American have the victim mentally? India was ruled and enslaved by British for 89 years. Yet they raised above it and today many CEOs in top companies are Indians, majority of homes owners in London are Indians, UK prime minister is an Indian origin etc I can keep going on.... All our ancestors had bad past. The past wasn't kind to many people from all over the world, but we learn from it and make the best of what we have. America is a land of opportunities; many LEGAL educated immigrants are doing so well in America. Why can't Black Americans born in America work hard and be the best they can? The past was ugly I get it, but your ancestors didn't fight to end slavery just for their kids to have a slave mentally. Move on. Racism is everywhere, just like the 3 host in this podcast. But life goes on, right? :) Larry Elder Hats off to you!

Indians do well in England and I live here they get by quite fine and successful. Nice people a lot of them, sometimes come access as rude but I think that's often more a cultural difference and doesn't represent their deeper character. I worked for an Indian couple both doctors(of some variety, work in hospital) and had a massive beautiful property and family. Though students from any nation are students and often annoying and entitled, including the Indian ones. Middle eastern ones. British ones.. But let's not pretend India doesn't have a caste system and many colorism issues in their own nation. We all have problems. Black people are not doing well in America but I don't think its for the international community to pile on and demoralise, dehumanise and overly criticise. It's good that black people are now holding fellow black people accountable I believe they will complete the process and develop above this issue(racism)

@Tread1775 with all due respect, although I find Tezlyn's conduct to be in poor taste, I'm not a fan of denigrating someone's intellect. I tend to think I've just aged out of the Breakfast Club's demographic. At the very least, it would be more insightful solely to say that Larry Elder did an amazing job between being constantly cut off and having questions that were just not serious (to grab their listeners). And I find your comment about Tezlyn's makeup doesn't sit right with me. Separately, I'm really struggling to find who to vote for so I've been trying to listen to everything, but I'm just at a loss dealing with Collard Green & Caviar politics and voting against everyone's interests politics. As a black man, I will say that one of the biggest problems the black community faces is this idea that we are all obligated to think and act the same way. And it's always centered around victimhood and avoiding accountability. It's wild that the breakfast club will have on rappers who promote all kind of self-destructive behaviors, but yet show more contempt for Larry elder, who's a law-abiding citizen, who's actually running for office trying to make a change. That woman kept saying that black people don't run the system, but every time elder brought up a black person who had a position of power and authority, she would say "well that doesn't count". So don't complain about black people being in charge, if you have no desire to hold them accountable when they should be held accountable. For the majority of my life I was die hard democrat. But when I started to understand the importance of personal accountability, my political worldview changed. The day I began to I understand the importance of personal accountability, my life and my mental health improved significantly.

The Breakfast club is proof that while conversation can be used to obtain new insight and perspective, it will ultimately depend on the people’s willingness to be receptive. Mr. Elder we do not agree on everything but thank you for being clear and building with us, the audience. The Breakfast Club should be embarrassed at how ignorant and at times insulting they were.

Here is why I say Republicans is BS. President Richard Nixon was the first to coin the term, “A War on Drugs,” but President Ronald Reagan turned that rhetorical war into a literal one. … The modern war on drugs was declared by Ronald Reagan in 1982 In the mid 1980s we were already to start to embark on a war on drugs, and then all of a sudden along comes a new drug, crack cocaine. … We had this drug that could be marketed in small doses, relatively inexpensively. This was just going to take over communities, particularly African American communities. This all happened due to our government flooding black communities with cocaine to support the Nicaragua war. I'm so tired of America and their damn lies! Congress in almost record time established mandatory sentencing penalties for crack that were far harsher than those for powder cocaine. The same amount of time in prison for one ounce of crack cocaine that you would get for 100 ounces of powder cocaine. Usually black or hispanic or latino, they were getting long sentences for possession of crack. You’re black with crack cocaine, you’re going to prison, for basically the rest of your life. And if you’re white, you pretty much get a slap on the wrist.Cocaine was more sophisticated. It was just the powder. ( rehab centers, not prison time) All of a sudden a scythe went through our black communities, literally cutting off men from their families, literally huge chunks just disappearing into our prisons, and for really long times. Millions of dollars will be allocated for prison and jail facilities… Then years later, there was an effort to rewrite history, that it was a racial disparity put in my mean white people. "It’s not where it came from." The same way they ( white people) are trying to rewrite slavery and the horrible crimes committed on black slave. The war on drugs was the start of the down fall of the black and Latino community. The rhetorical war that was announced as part of a political strategy by Richard Nixon which morphed into a literal war by Ronald Reagan, turning in to something that began to feel nearly genocidal in many poorer communities of color. Whar pisses me off of to here this fool talk about what the democrats have done to the black communities, it all started with that crook Nixon and continued with the JUST SAY NO! Reagans. The war on drugs had become part of our popular culture in television programs like COPS. When you cut on your local news at night, you see black men being paraded across the screen in handcuffs. Black people, black men, and black people in general are over represented in news as criminals. When I say over represented, that means that they are shown as criminals more times than is accurate, that they are actually criminals, based on FBI statistics. I’m a big believer in the power of media, full of these clichés that basically present mostly black and brown folks who seem like animals in cages, and then someone can turn of the TV thinking, “it’s a good thing for prisons, because otherwise those crazy people would be walking on my block.” This narrative was crested by Republicans! This is why Trump is using the "Law and Order crap that Nixon and Reagan used. That is code for war on black communities! That is how Bush won the election by creating fear around black men as criminal without saying that’s what he was doing. This is what Republicans specialize in, the fake "LAW AND ORDER" But then you have clowns like Larry Elder who come in with this BS Narrative that he only cares about the black communities. Claiming racism does not exist and that blacks are the cause of all their downfalls. But let Trump get arrested and now their is a 2 tiered system. But only because Trump is being help accountable. I'm so disappointed that 105, for letting that fool come on their show. To use a black platform to spread white lies and to down the black community. Most of the comments came from 13th... Please go watch it.

@@spiderwebwalker -- 💯! Candace Owens highlighted how for the past SIX generations Black America's educational decline. And it has NOTHING to do with the system. If parents are *functionally illiterate* combined with a broken home: Who's there to tutor and guide children at home? My folks both sat at the table with us after dinner as we did our school work. And they checked it over. If it was wrong; made us do it again. If we still got it wrong; that is where mom and pops would step in and tutor. And we weren't rich or middle class. We were just a nuclear family with educated STRICT parents laying the foundation for us to build upon. In stating that: I'm a no alarm clock, daily commuting employee. Mid day Tuesday and I'm sitting by my pool typing this. God bless my parents.
