I met Pharrell about...12 or so years ago. When "Drop it Like It's Hot" Came out with Snoop. I was on vacation with my Grandmother and we had a long layover in Miami. We went to the beach and stopped at Johnny Rocket's for some lunch. We saw him and I was scared to ask for a picture, but he came over and introduced himself to my grandmother and hugged me and took a few pics with me. It was so sweet. When "Happy" won the Grammy she cut it out of the newspaper, saved it, and called me!! She remembers how sweet and humble you were! And she's 86 years old!

Pharrell has influenced 2 generations already 2000's - 2010 Skateboard P, cussing and threatening people all over Clipse tracks, releasing fire with NERD, producing hits, getting everyone to wear Ice Cream and BAPE. 2010's Pharrell Zen-like, Happy, No cussing, getting everyone to hop back on Adidas superstars, own Adidas line, rising to new level of superstar stardom - breaking away from urban culture to cross over to white folk fanbase. Only two things have remained consistent with Pharrell: His looks and fucking models.
@Mannyswack8 жыл бұрын
Supreme Clientele yeah this I can agree with, but I meant he's actually making these thing now not just wearing them, I'd be stupid to say he hasn't been inspirational this entire time I just meant now he's making big moves just as Pharrel without much help.

Vegas Element No he isn't. That rumor is false. It's possible to be well spoken and fully black.
@buk67088 жыл бұрын
Vegas Element LOL, "mixed people are generally smart" lol, what studies/data/facts/anecdotal or any kind of evidence do you have? E. Asians generally have a 114 IQ, Whites 104, Latinos 91, American Black (20% white on avg) 85, Eqt African 60-69. I study this and Mixed people have NO advantage genetically, and usually have a significantly more chance of mental disorders. I can cite you studies showing this.

3:25...yes...thank you Pharell for pointing out how they ask multiple questions at the same time. It's like some Nore shit when he interrupts a story sometimes. It's sometimes a good tactic because it makes it seem more like a convo than an interview but there's a balance. Always.

King Kables no this is nowhere as bad as the nore podcast. nore interupt the guest after every five words. they cant even complete a sentence with nore. i love nore music but i cant deal with his interviews. too annoying lol
@seandafny8 жыл бұрын
+skyizdalimit6539 i thought Nore podcast would be great cause the way his interviews go. then i realized sadly that I liked him being interviewed more than him doing the interviewing. I thought i would have a go to thing to watch whenever im bored or eating or something. Nope.
@mr.e5748 жыл бұрын
Lol, very true. I agree it can be annoying. He does notice that he does it and is getting better tho. I understand too, sometimes it's because he realizes where the interview is going and will change the subject. They all need to take a page from Taxstone's Beanie Sigel interview and just listen/STFU, lol

It's ironic Pharrell said in this interview that there's definitely, "Something In The Water" in Virginia...and that's exactly what he called his first music festival in Virginia Beach, Virginia three years later in 2019.
