Of course his father was pissed he disobeyed him by dropping out of school without telling him, but that's all it was really, his father telling him "I'm still the man". $700M worth, yes his dad is still the man.

no offence but when it come to nigerian celebrities 99 percent of them come from riches. There is no balance. In America, atleast it isnt all that unrealistic to dream, but in nigeria or most african nations. because of their corrupt society there is rarely such a thing as making it from rags to riches. if that was the case 60 percent of nigerians wouldnt be living in poverty. Davidos dad may not have given him handouts but he build the road up for him and to top that off it would have been his families connections he used wisely..same with Wizkid. I am not taking anything away from Davido though. HE has a raw talent and has blessed us with it.

@@mikedino8014 OBO (Omo baba Olówó) is an acronym consisting of his and dads title. It means "son of a rich man." In Africa, your dad or folks run your life from cradle even until after you're a father or mother yourself...and if they're rich, it'll take a miracle to break out of their hold. Did you hear him say he was last of 5 kids and only him broke away into his dreams...the way he said the story, only a true Nigerian can relate with the real struggle. Sucks to hear people judge him because his father is successful, when clearly he has tremendous talent that no amount of money could create... I personally being from America loved hearing this story about a rich and powerful black man, who pushes and supports his children. We don’t get those stories about us all the time due to systematic and historical racism. So I think that aspect of his life should be admired and set an example. I’m excited for Davido.

Stop watching television. African Americans are a very honorable demographic.
@picassomicasso15 жыл бұрын
Rich or poor, in most Nigerian cultures, its the duty of the parent s to push you to achieve great things. The family is still very important in our culture so the family has a say in your life forever. During enslavement and Jim Crow the black family was weakened and destroyed in America, it's time to restore it. 1 love.

Davido has ALWAYS been fire. If we support African American artist, we should definitely support African artists, because even if we grew up in American, we still are of African descent. Let's support OUR people.

Donky Kong because they don't show love back. Latino culture is anti black to the point where even the afro ones are anti black (not all but a shit load). Whereas Africans from the continent and afro Caribbean male the effort to cross over.
