His excuse for using the n word is weird. He could've said I'm Puerto Rican, my ancestors are African, that's a more logical point then saying I was raised around black people 🤷🏾♂️. This white boy was raised on my block the only one in the 90s. He never called us nigga no matter how submerged in the culture and everyone around him called him nigga. A ton of Latinos don't like to associate with black people but they love to include themselves in everything we do. In a perfect world they would realize we have many things in common and can appreciate each other. Latinos generally look down on darker people for some reason it could be that European side that makes them feel more important because they combined their customs/culture with the Spanish & German. Where as we blacks in the U.S. had to create new culture because ours was taken/forgot. It's Hispanic heritage month, I haven't seen one brown Latino highlighted anywhere all of them are the white Latinos

If he was really cool with blackfolks like he claims, he'll stop using the N-word. This is problematic outside of NYC. We are used to it but he should respect our family out of town, who are not used to latinos using that word.

All the Latins Joe mentioned as being there since "the beginning" came in the 80's a DECADE AFTER HIP HOP WAS CREATED. Charlie Chase learned Hip Hop from A BLACK MAN. Wild style the movie came out a DECADE AFTER Black American teens from the South Bronx created Hip Hop. You do know Hip Hop was created in the EARLY 1970'S off JAMES BROWN RECORDS. Where's the Latin influence??
