After talking to a security consultant, they recommended putting the film on both sides of all 1st floor glass, plus sealing/attaching the edges w clear silicon bead.

I recon that a thief after realising the glass isn’t going to shatter, and that they’re making way too much noise would have them moving on to an easier target pretty quickly. Great demonstration!

The film deadens the noise of the breaking glass...may not trigger alarms that listen for breaking glass. I give you credit for using the sealant around the edge of the frame - the frame edge is the weakest part of the window, just crack the window and push in the edge of the window along the frame. Ideally, the film would be mounted inside the frame....but that is not always possible, and requires taking the window apart.

Your front window is already tempered glass. I believe the film would slow down a rescue operation in an accident.

Likely to be Clear Silicone sealant.

@Jared_Pinkard on another video a guy mentions "attached" referring to using 'structural adhesive caulk' on the frame where it meets the film.

The industry standard is Dow Corning 995. 3M also has one called "Impact Protection Adhesive". They both perform the same.

wouldn't you just kick one side to get it loose from the attachment and then just push it in?? it seems like a lot of these demonstrations are over exaggerating the resilience to impact.

Clever how you kept hitting it in a different place every time. Try hitting it in the same place with a metal rod, not a wooden baseball bat that absorbs the blows.
