No amount of de-aging will ever top Saw 3D where they de-aged Tobin Bell by putting him in a backwards cap.

You forget one detail, this is the episode that introduced flashbacks that take place before the show so the filmmakers decided to use a blue filter to symbolize flashbacks to make the brba world more immersive without using texts that seems out of place

It wasn't used during the flashback at the beginning of Full Measure, or Ozymandias (though that one is more understandable).

@@anthonyp31388yeah that's the thing they probably never expected the show to become one of the top five most influential shows of all time at least. So now every single scene and the logic behind every single premise is scrutinized quite heavily. And almost no TV show can hold up to that kind of scrutiny no matter the realism. Kind of like all the quirky editing decisions in the sopranos that get called out now.

The official Wikipedia page for every time de-aging was used in a motion picture says that it was used in season 6 episode 11 of better call Saul, but when you go to the article itself that's linked it says that they didn’t use any

I didn’t realize they used de-aging. I disagree that they should’ve done it for BCS. It would have been too expensive and not been convincing enough.

Fun little fact for those of you who have watched the Wire. The Actress playing Wendy getting solicited by someone thinking she was a real prostitute is also reminiscent of the story that someone tried to actually buy (Or sell to, cant quite remember) drugs from the actor who plays the character Bubbles, because he looked so much like an actual addict.

I always thought that Marie only asked for black shoes as a distraction tactic to make it easier to steal the purple ones. But after watching your video, I now agree that the employee's behavior triggered Marie and that she only then spontaneously decided to steal. You can see it in Marie's face and it makes more sense for her character. Besides, it would just be unnecessarily suspicious to ask for something only to then disappear right away. Thanks for the new perspective and the cool videos 👍

0:31 There was digital de-aging done on Better call Saul for the episode "Breaking Bad" during the RV scene. It was done on both Saul and Jessie but Walter was left untouched. The de-aging effect was made subtle/natural on purpose to stay consistent with the de-ageing makeup work done on the show prior. But if you could compare the original plates versus the comped ones, wrinkles had been reduced a lot. Meaning it was done well enough that people did not see there was VFX done here, and also the fact that it was shot on bluescreen this whole sequence. (outside the RV, outside the windows) Source: I worked on this sequence.

normally when the breaking bad intro plays the "breaking" and "bad" words are in kind of green squares, they are connected diagonaly, yet in ep3 the "bad" square is connected to the K in breaking it sounds stupid and funny, but i noticed it on rewatch.
