Walt has had many opportunities to kill or at least let Jesse die but he never has cause he's like family. the only reason he ordered the hit at the end was cause Jesse seemed to threaten Walt's wife and kids in the phone call so its kind of understandable. there's always been a lot of misunderstandings between the two, usually on Jesse's part. i think next week Walt will somehow be put in a situation where he'll spare Jesse's life over Todd. S5 has been leading up to this choice
