They're not using the proper audio as they would have if the clips made it into the show. It makes it more awkward than it should when you hear all background noises. Also, the scene is meant to be awkward either way.

I think Marie dropping Hank scene was meant to be deleted but the actors had to do it for the continuity of the scene and making the mood and facial expressions as real as possible. I can say because the dialogue is not up to par.
