I really hope this album will sound like _Breaking Benjamin_ and not like Imagine Dragons. (This is NOT saying Dark Before Dawn did the latter, it's saying that a lot of rock bands' new albums are 50% pop and I don't want that to happen here too)

Half of rock bands are following the pop trend but I highly doubt Breaking Benjamin will be one of them. They have been so consistent with their sound on every record and that's what is so great about them.

nick supreme 100% agreed like even Linkin Park went downhill although I hate to say it since Chester recently passed but I've listened to those guys since I was a kid and that's why I've seen it go downhill *they try a new style of hip because they think the fans get bored of all rock and then they never turn back*

Noble Vigilance So true, and so sad. I think the reason is that rock is declining in popularity (which IMO is partly because indiepop is mislabeled as "rock" by grammys, mtv awards, radio, billboard etc) and the greedy rock bands sell out. But I don't think Breaking Benjamin will. Then again, I didn't think Theory of a Deadman would either...

nick supreme, you are exactly right. I noticed it a few years ago. The media for some reason wants to lump indie pop bands and artists into rock as if it is some sort of "change" for rock. Just look at the Billboard rock charts. The only rock song chart that feels credible is the mainstream rock songs chart. Actual rock bands are not acknowledged like they were last decade which is why bands like Shinedown turned for the worse. I remember hearing "Breath" and "Give Me a Sign" on pop stations. They wouldn't play anything from Dark Before Dawn today though. However, I believe Breaking Benjamin will stay true to their sound. You're right right though. It's the media's fault. Sorry but I can't understand how an artist like Lorde could be win or be nominated for any rock category at awards shows....
