I've seen a lot of vids and comments and stuff talking about how this song is about military soldiers and such, but I am kinda thinking it's about someone taking their own life, or at least contemplating it. "It only hurts just once" and "You'll be fine, I will get left behind" seem like some really disturbing lines of someone's personal demons pushing them to finally end things. Such a depressing song, I love it. Also fits in with the idea of being an "Unknown Soldier" as we're all soldiers in our own battles against our thoughts and emotions, but most don't care or acknowledge it.
