Hope your feeling better, I have a small short cut on the way to my horse and it has a few places where the roots are VERY bumpy. I have learnt where the roots are and now I can avoid them pretty easily! There’s only one place where the roots can’t be avoided and that’s where the roots are most prominent, I actually have fun getting over them! Have a great day Fire!

I’ve broken my left wrist twice, once in 5th grade and once in 9th grade. The 5th grade one I hit a curb and was thrown off ok to the sidewalk. The 9th grade one I was going down a steep hill and tried to brake but ended up falling down and landing hard and the scooter falling on top of me. Those both took two-three months to heal. Hope you heal quickly and the pain goes away very soon ! Life is shorter than we realize , so live it to the max , enjoy it , and do what you love before you find you are no longer able to do it because you suddenly find yourself many years older .

I LOVED biking when I was younger. I was good, tho one day loose gravel on pavement while making a turn sent me skidding, knocked me out for few seconds, woke up to bike on me and my right thumb really hurting. Had somehow fractured my right thumb, and thankful that was it cuz I was laying in middle of road. I've got a 10 speed I believe it is, needs new brakes, chain and possibly a new tire or two by now. And it's a mountain bike, 😉.

Take all the time and help you need to recover (going back too early was one of my big mistakes, now my arm will never be straight again) Hopefully you'll be back on the trails in good health soon!

@@Firekitten_official If you're carrying a lot of speed down that hill and either don't lean left enough, or go too heavy on the back brakes, it'll go. (I watched my cousin accidentally 180 off the berm because he lost grip) It's a pretty lose gravel once it gets moving, especially after rain. On the same track I've accidentally launched myself into a gorse plant because my front wheel lost grip. Uncool. Hopefully you'll be able to make it go next time your up, but it might take a few slow goes and run ups. (As per my experience with that @#&*¢π® dual slalom, took me more than a month to get happy with) Like someone else said, hopefully the Irish hospitals weren't too bad. They're good healthcare but really frustrating to deal with.
