I have mad respect for them for changing lyrics that may have sounded offensive, but at the same time I still feel it was unnecessary. The world does not revolve around the English language and everyone should not automatically assume someone is saying something offensive just because they can't comprehend that people speak languages other than English. However, it was their own choice to change the lyrics so I'm okay with it, if it had been someone forcing them to change the lyrics it would have been another story entirely.

Jane LC18 I honestly think it’s a bit stupid to feel offended over a Korean word. Should both whole countries of South and North Korea change their language because some people are too ignorant to understand it’s not even English?! Not everything revolves around them! It’s a language! Just as we need to get educated on racism and other issues, others need to get educated on what is actually going on sometimes. I have respect for them changing the lyrics but I'm upset that they did - that they felt like they needed to. It's not English and so it shouldn't offend people. It should be realized that English isn't their native language and most of the lyrics aren't in English. So anyone who heard naega and assumed it was that word, without researching, is showing disrespect to BTS by jumping to assume they used that word. The fact people who jump to that, and jump to thinking it's an English word, just makes me think the person(s) thinks everything revolves around the English language when it doesn't. I appreciate people who listen to their songs and when hearing that word - they research and find out the truth. I'm glad it was their choice, not something forced upon them, but I'm sad and upset they felt like the change was needed. They shouldn't feel the need to change their language to suit other peoples spoken language. It's not expected of ARMY to learn Korea...so why should they learn and speak English for us?

The part about n word always get me mad. Two Korean words sound like the n word and they shouldn’t have to change them. It’s like if the words “you” and “me” sounded like an offensive word in a different language we wouldn’t have to change it. We would expect the other people to understand the difference in languages.
