I'm surprised Cormani lasted this long. I thought he would've jumped in the postal back in December. Coach Prime told the world back then that Cormani doesn't study film and is late to team meetings.

Cormani was a true freshman, 5-star and a major prospect. I believe CU tried diligently to keep him--but couldn't work through his lack of maturity and lack of respect. Wishing him the best and future success.

Probably the biggest thing that McClain had going against him is when he arrived at Colorado is Travis was there. Your effort would be consistently compared to Travis, which I believe was done on purpose to teach him how to work. But when you get in the rooms with Dawgs you have to act like Dawgs or you will be exposed. The Dawgs in this room were different. Add in poor self discipline just a matter of time.

He’s a kid…he needed guidance. Y’all act like he should’ve been PERFECT out the gate. If you know your players as a coach, you know who needs to be hand held. Even at JUCO, kids have group tutoring; someone is with them. Cormani was set up for failure!

@@lmjohnson777 he was ignored? He was given # 1 which he didn’t earn. He showed up late, literally weeks before fall camp. He was late to meetings consistently, wasn’t on point with his classes, was being outworked by the other corners & was getting dogged in practice by the receivers. And apparently these behavioral issues have been documented since he was in high school. If you aren’t good enough to start on a 4-8 team what makes you think you’re going to start somewhere else?

You men did an excellent job breaking down this young man. He’s not that good and refuses to learn from a great player in the same position as he play. The real problem is, these High School COACHES, because they refuse to tell these players they have a lot to learn, because they’re so good in high school and the coaches are so afraid to lose them, they LIE to them and they get a serious reality check when they get to college then they want to blame everyone for their failures

For some players, a 5* rating in HS can be a curse in disguise. You can abuse much weaker HS players and when you elevate to D1 level players you aren’t ready for it. So much of it is what’s going on in your head when you face adversity. Missing meetings is a no-brainer warning sign that there are some character issues at play.

Sooooo what I'm getting from people who are emotionally invested in this Cormani fellow is....1. People emotionally attached themselves to Cormani and have to emotionally cope with the reality of his failures. 2. People expected him to be the second coming of Tavis Hunter, and when he didn't live up to that, it's now Prime fault. When both guys had the same opportunity, Travis succeeded in the same system that Cormani failed in. So people have to cope again with reality. 3. When facts are presented to them that Cormani is slaw as an athlete by a Gold Jacket CB, a youtuber who played at different levels, and regular people who didn't drink the Cormani delusion....they have to cope. This is a situation of truth and reality kicking delusions ass and people can't handle it.

To be honest, I was surprised that he ever came to Boulder. When he arrived in May of last year and didn’t start practices at the beginning of the summer. It appears to me to that he was used to doing what he wanted from high school and he wasn’t going to be taken off the field no matter. Now he enters college and bringing those same attitude, mentality and work ethic. It took him mid-season to really come along. Not to mention that during this time, he was late to meetings, class and not being in the film room. He seems very immature. Once you enter college, talent level is very different. He never lived up to the 5 star status. I think he was upset when CP busted him out in a Press Conference last year. Travis is very talented, but he made the meeting and he watched film.

Losing Cormani will be addition by subtraction. The man was lazy, a lair, and slow.

Six months later, Cormani is still getting burnt. Texas game exposed the hell out of Cormani. The kid can't run, too skinny with his height. He needs to move to free safety. You don't want all of that bad tape if you're trying to make it to the next level.

He was definitely looking out for him. Prime knew Cormani wasn't ready, but everyone kept crying for him to play.

Yup wish him well, but he’ll probably get playing time despite his deficiencies and that may not make him a better person but his on field skills should improve
