I left in 2000 for my home state of Georgia. Best decision I ever made, but I really Loved California and the rest of the Northwest country, and will forever miss that area, but I refuse to ever go back even to visit. I'll just be happy to remember it the way it was when it was such a beautiful and wonderful place to live, all the way from San Diego to the Canadian Border. so different but so lovely in their own way. When I got out of the military and got to my sister's place in Lakeside, outside of San Diego, This Georgia farm Boy thought I'd that must be what Paradise looked like. I was one of those idiots who pulled onto the roadside to get out and just look at and wander around in all the Plants and flowers I'd never seen before. I look back now and figure I spent the first 6 months there with my mouth open in wonder, at all the Wonderful Stuff that I saw. Yep, I was, for a returning Vet, pretty wet behind the ears, and Green as a gourd, but I'll never forget that feeling, and if the Damned Politicians hadn't Ruined it All, I'd still be out there somewhere, probably still in Southern Oregon, where I spent the last almost 20 years of the time I was "Out West" as my parents put it. Had they not made such a mess I'd have been more than satisfied to keep Hunting, Fishing, and rambling the High Country of Oregon, and Northern California, but I, like you am glad I left, and I'll think of those places like an old Girlfriend, before she got, old. fat and ugly, and remember her when she was Young And Beautiful. Poor Analogy, I know, but it fits, Kinda. Glad you landed happily in Florida, which makes us kinda Neighbors

This is a good start to protect Florida. Point 1 - It is inhumane for the border people to have been allowed in illegally when there are no jobs, no shelter, no security and no asylum. Many of these are not even from countries that requires asylum; most are opportunists. Point 2 - Organization of this mess with illegal immigrants is definitely needed. Point 3 - All resources (security, medical, employers, etc) must be put in place BEFORE the border is opened. Point 4 - Even before all this, take care of the American citizens who are suffering and are Homeless, have no job, losing homes due to high Property Taxes and HOA fees.
