I just heard from Travis & Sliwa show (ESPN) that since the Statcast era in 2015, Dodger stadium has the second fewest home runs of 450 feet home runs or more. Only 15 home runs have been hit 450 feet or more at Dodgers stadium. Shohei has hit five of them. And this in just 3 &1//2 months. Shohei is just unbelievable. Doug is right, how lucky we are to have Shohei on our team for the nest 10 years.

This team can afford to DFA no one. You do that if you have guys to replace them, especially with the laundry list of injured players. But if you were gonna dump some guys, Paxton is about the last guy who should go. First of all, he's a starting pitcher. Second, he has the best record on the team. Some will argue about how he got there and that it wasn't pretty - but 8-2 is 8-2. You better bring in one or both of the available stars or you're gonna have some 'splainin' to do!

First of all, Shohei's homerun clearly was beyond 500ft. Unfortunately, home runs these days ae measured automatically by computer using pitcher's velocity. batting speed, angle, etc. By this method, pulling the ball to right and hitting into center right produces the same distance. This obviously is wrong. And, if you look at the 476 ft home run hit on the same day (forgot the player's name), there's no way that traveled more than Shohei's blast. As for clearing the stadium or not, imagine Yankee stadium right field bleachers (way to the right). Imagine, an opening right under the roof on the third floor bleachers. If a homerun happens to go right under the roof and lands in the parking lot, does this not constitute "clearing the stadium?". Just because it didn't go over the roof does not mean it did not clear the stadium. So yes, I do believe Shohei's blast clear the stadium.
