This may have been released just 5 days ago but was probably recorded at least 5 weeks ago. It has aged extremely well. Love it when Sandy is guided by sane and practical questions as he can certainly descend into a rant quite easily as some of his podcasts in the last year demonstrate. So WELL DONE XTRAordinary. You guys rock.

I like the background on Sandy and also the breakdown of how he makes money on a car tear down, the Cybertruck in particular. It would be nice to learn more about new product development he’s been involved with, I know he has shared a few projects in the past (L1011,….)

Given Sandy’s first hand experience and depth of expertise his comment “we never saw anything like that, and we see everything!” conveys a very deep sense of awe about the brilliance of the technology that they had uncovered in Tesla. Tesla focused on doing it right first time and when things could be improved they did so regardless of the sunk costs they had to swallow. Many EV companies arrive on the scene but are being met with a ‘meh, so what’ and will inevitably fail. Tesla will head down in price with their next models and will bring their technology with them.

There must really be some bad blood between Sandy and his former number 2 Cory. Not giving Cory any credit for his idea about KZbin is kinda petty. Hope I’m wrong but Cory was The Man for quite a while. I digress but great interview otherwise.

Xtraordanary - gm was fooling around with Electric cars back in 1880's . but they could not get the Range they wanted. gm , even partnered w/ Edisson and his DISPOSABLE car battery. it was Expensive & it used SILVER. there was also the gm IMPACT car , before the EV1 .

Tesla, Inc.'s latest earnings show deteriorating fundamentals, with a 9% drop in revenue and a 55% decline in net profit margin. EV deliveries have decreased, operating expenses have increased, and the stock price remains high compared to competitors. Risks to a bearish thesis include potential innovations, market share growth in China, and strong global EV sales. But the stock is highly expensive, while the recent news is not encouraging.

He bought TSLA when he saw the engineering model S but sold when he realised he might be accused of bias. Like if in 2009 and someone said the iPhone was amazing when it was. Not amazing now though. They've stopped innovation with the accountant in charge. Said a lot of nice stuff about Ford too. Ford shill or just Tesla? Is it about you or him?

@@erikiversen2039 It's not just the batteries. Tesla vehicles are VERY expensive to repair and service. They often have long wait times for getting parts. Service is a disaster. It's a shame because an electric car could be dead simple. Think of a fancy golf cart. Golf carts are easy to repair and service.
