@@nancybreaux9684 give me a break. Beyonce goes way above and beyond almost all other performers, especially in this day and age. Beyonce could buy and see Netflix. At this point she could sit home and be the richest woman out there. She does it for the fans and the artistry, not a stupid Netflix deal.

@Buttercup Yeah, that means you are a complete imbecile with no knowledge of America's history. The worst damage that has been done to one group of people in the history of the world for the last 100,000 years was slavery, Jim Crow and the projects. Forcing blacks to have sex and breed to make more slaves. Murdering old slaves that could no longer work, raping the women as they saw fit..forcing brothers and sisters to mate... separating families, destroying languages and forcing them to speak English but refusing to allow them to read... This lasted well into the 1970s and now today they have the prisons that feed people back into slavery if you didn't know that's what the 13th amendment says. Why did I waste time typing to a fake bot?

im a fan of all of them. Those greate female performers were really great, i mean, really really great. but there’s always something missing with them. For Ex. whitney celine, and mariah can really sing but cannot dance. On the other hand, Janet jackson and paula abdul were great dancers but not vocally strong. Tina turner was a good singer and a dance but not that versatile. Lea salonga was one if the best broadway singers. it just happened beyonce can really sing and dance at the same time. I mean at its best.. she can do hiphop, jazz, soul opera. thats why on my own opinion, Beyonce really studied those great women before her then she managed to be the total packaged. but sadly, people still gonna hate her. I think even though she doesnt need it, we should give the credit to her, because she deserved it.... by the way, this is a late reply from your 4month old post :)

Lol this is me being pessimistic and I'm truly glad another level.of black culture has been celebrated and getting honored but just really waiting to see if the ariana grande of the world will try it next. Theres already whole research about certain white cheer and dance teams for the NFL stealing choreography from hbcu majorettes with bo permission or compensation of course. But that's a whole other topic.

I love this piece, it highlights another aspect of Beyonce's importance. ABC and all the other media outlets would not be focusing on HBCUs, their cultural significance, and the need of safe spaces for young black people but for Beyonce choosing to focus on them. Also, appreciate Jamilah getting the journalist together for implying Beyonce, a black women, is growing into her blackness. No one would ever say a white person was growing into their whitness,...
