the people Viktor ‘saved’ seem to be.. not very alive, not in a traditional sense anyhow (esp if they seem to be tied to him for survival) which isn’t Viktor’s fault, i don’t think he fully comprehends that the Hexcore is manipulating him, which makes the situation all the more tragic (especially noticing that he fully accepts his death and seems to be relieved, i don’t think he knew all of THAT would happen)

​@@AstralMuffin105 nah, it's more likely to be Singed's fault actually, we saw how all of the cultists died when viktor died too but vander went mad instead, we also saw some kind of lava coming out of him, wich matches the color of the stuff Singed wanted to inject him with. Making Vander go mad at the same time as viktor dies is actually a genious move by them, since it makes the audience think jayce is at fault for everything, but in reality he prevented a world ending cataclysm (Void stuff) and only caused the cultists to die (wich imo they were already dead, and were just empty vessels waiting to be filled by some Void monster or some shit like that.)

I think that's half right. Viktor may not have realized what he was doing but was still able to keep their psyches intact, they're individualities still exists in some form, but I think jayce killing viktor is what will make that future he saw happen. Viktor now realizes why the commune failed, why peace is never truly possible, humanity gets in the way, but that's in our nature, and nature needs to be superseded, glorious evolution

​@@nugget3687 Yeah, Jayce killing Viktor would actually be the catalyst for the return of a Viktor who has decided that the only way forward is to abandon one's humanity. With the commune he was very careful to protect the humanity of others, and his own. He, and his followers evolved, but only to a point. On his return he would pursue the goal of a fully machine evolution. I don't believe that Viktor was a puppet in his state before death, we got to see very clearly his own introspections, and his discussions with Sky. One can argue as to whether Sky was actually the essence of Sky herself, or if it was merely an illusion created by the hex core to guide him, using his emotions.

@@luistigerfox A detail everyone mentions is when Jayce first speaks to Sala in the Major Hexcore vault, you can see his breath in the cold as he speaks but that doesn't happen with Sala when he speaks. That and the collective death at the end I think confirms that those are not living beings anymore, those are things of the arcane now part of the "Viktor" collective, which we cannot know if its Viktor anymore at all or maybe its just the arcane just using him as a vessel. Right now, Jayce knows more than everyone, he probably saw something TERRIBLE so bad it stripped all hesitation from him to act the way he does. And one last point, he hesitates to kill one of the collective in the episode and given his later actions and lack of hesitation to deal with Viktor, I think its more of a "they are not the problem, just its victims" moment as he further steel's his resolve to do what he has to. These last 3 episodes are going to be insane...

Honestly, I do think that just saying 'they aren't alive therefore jayce did the right thing' a failure of curiosity and empathy for the other. We don't /actually/ know what will is influencing Jayce and showing him these visions. At this point all there is there is speculation. His following the orders of this outer will from his time within the wild rune could actually prove to be detrimental. I think Jayce's choice will be in part responsible for Viktor returning, having abandoned his humanity, when the whole point of his commune originally was to help people and to keep their will, their humanity intact. He might create something far worse than what he was trying to stop.

It is an interesting choice to use a foreign language for a song dedicated to a mute character. It could be that like Isha conveys her emotion through expression and gestures due to her muteness, the song wants the listener to pick up on the meaning through the singer's emotion and music itself. Jayce did nothing wrong... People who were saved by Viktor don't breathe. When Jayce, Ekko and Heime are in the room with wild rune, you can see vapor coming out their mouth. Same thing happens when Jayce returns. But Salo... Salo wasn't breathing so there was no vapor coming out of his mouth.

I don't at all view it as "Jayce did nothing wrong." Those people were still people. Viktor being 'the machine herald' likely was transforming them into cyborgs. Just because they're colder, or don't breathe the same doesn't change it. We got to see plenty inside the mind of viktor, and we even got Salo and Huck's views on the thing. Yes, they were able to share their consciousness with Viktor at times, but they did so freely. He wasn't commanding them. A bit cult-ish yeah... But unlike most actual cult leaders, Viktor not only wanted to do actual good, he had the capacity to. He was able to give people their lives back. He gave them much more agency than a typical cult leader likes to.

A lot of people miss it during their first time watching, but it was Singed who injected Vander with the serum which caused him to go rampage at the end (the clue is the frame of him standing in the burnt room where Vander was healing with a serum in his hand). Jayce's actions most likely still affected Vander, as shooting Viktor caused Vander to become vulnerable to Singed.

Demacia - Noxus would be an interesting story, but id personally like to see a series about Ixtal, biggest reason being that it has the least info out of any of the regions in Runeterra. And it has some very unique characters, creatures and magic going on in the little lore we have. Edit. if youre looking to revisit the lore, Necrit is THE lore guy for LoL and surrounding games.

#Jaycedidnothingwrong But seriously though. I had been thinking long and hard about it, but I don't think at the end of the day there was no saving Vander. Sure Viktor was brining out his humanity, but he was going to be assimilated to Viktor's freaky ass cult. Nothing about the people he saved seems... good. They're are so off, like look back at the chamber where Jayce and Salos was at, you can clearly see Jayce's breath, while Salo's you did not. Viktor can also take over any of them and talk through them, that shit ain't right. Then when Jayce took out Viktor, the fact that if he goes down he takes everyone with him, no. Just no, the cult had to go. Jayce saw something, possibly in the future that he had to stop. Vander is a tragic character, but I don't think Jayce was the cause. If you look very closely you can see Singed standing up during the fight. I have a suspicious that he got up and ejected him Warwick with what he was planning on, which is why he went berserk. I also don't think Viktor is dead, because Singed, needs him now too. The "mutation must survive," as he said. We'll probably see Viktor in his full... GLORIOUS EVOLUTION.

Every time Warwick has been hit with a hextech weapon he has instantly healed. When Jinx shot him in the prison, when Vi punched him in the tunnels. Instantly healed, faster than when hit with other weapons... I haven't seen this others notice this fully, but it might be important.

With Warwick/Vander going berserk at the end, it's more likely that Singed woke up and used his serum on him, rather than all the good going away because Viktor is gone. We see Singed standing in that building at the end there. Would explain why Warwick was oozing liquid that was the same color as the serum

The best part about arcane is that it's usually the old league lore as a basis and redoing the Canon so it's actually now Canon to the game as well. There were some callbacks in the game with this as well, like one of Warwicks lines to vi is asking her who taught her to fight.

Vander reverting to Warwick wasn't necessarily a result of Viktor's death - it was because Singed was left unguarded and was able to inject him with the serum that would block Viktor from doing anything to heal Vander's mind.

Having a story covering Demacia and Noxus wouldn't be too much- at face-value, it'd just be another Horde/Alliance song-n-dance we've seen dozens of times. In reality, it's an anti-magic government (with a cult that covets said magic) in the midst of an internal war (thanks for that, Sylas), while Noxus is mass expanding to get more resources (people included), that has its own internal conflict issues (Swain, LeBlanc, Mordekaiser, etc.). I'd rather they focus more on Noxus, because we got enough Demacian coverage from Mageseeker. Wouldn't be against it if they did it anyways, but that's just me. Either way, they have dozens of stories they could cover- one such I REALLY hope they do is Shurima- specifically the Darkin Origins.

I think there's two paths for jinx. She can stay with Violet and reconnect with her or she'll fully give into her belief she's a jinx and become worse than ever for everyone else, with no hope of getting better. Of course, I'd be happy to be surprised. At some point, you really have to wonder if Mylo's right and she really is cursed. While she progressively develops more agency in and responsibility for the tragedies she suffers (ranging from none at all when her parents are killed as a little girl to pulling the trigger that kills Silco as a teen), the universe seems determined to destroy her psyche. Everyone around her may get killed, but having all their deaths on her conscience further drives her mad. However to quote another comment i saw "Jinx lost her emotional support orphan 😭"

Once Arcane is over, I wanna see Arcane series of one of these contents: - Aftermath of the black mist - Continuation after the events in Mageseeker (But I'm happy with Mageseeker 2 game as well, even though i know Riot Forge is no more, i still hope) - Nunu & Willump journey after the game, maybe even conflicts against a portion of the void (Same as with the mageseeker) - Morgana vs Kayle - Milio and his journey in Ixtal - Kai'sa against Belveth and the void, with Taliyah playing an important on the side as well, maybe. - Swain vs The Black Rose / Mordekaiser And so on. There could be skins au, but i want the series to only be lore accurate League

Jayce saw something truly horrifying to decide that viktor needed to die, it's sad but he must have had a reason. It actually reminds me of when jinx shot the councilors when they were agreeing for peace and now its jayce who takes the shot when it looked like jinx, vi, Vander were going to be a family again.

The End of Season 2 Act 2: The Escalation, a breaking point has been reached, let’s see how far it can be pushed and how everything will come together. What did Jayce see? How will things go between Vi, Caitlyn and Jinx? Where is Heimerdinger and Ekko? What happened to Mel? Who or what will end up being the Final Antagonist of the Show, Ambessa, The Arcane, The Black Rose or even The Void? Where has Sevika and Maddie been throughout all of this? Hopefully, we’ll find out about at least the majority of these in Act 3. Also, i really hope we’ll find out what it was that finally made Caitlyn go against Ambessa, while it was a pretty nice Twist, i really would like some clarification, especially considering what we’ve seen of her up until now. Fun Fact: apparently Arcane was originally planned to have 5 Seasons, would you believe that?

I think we can't judge why Jayce did what he did until we see what he went through. He may be completely in the right. But whatever the reason, it's probably a pretty good one considering he never stopped seeing Viktor as his brother

One thing I want to talk about(and what some other people have noticed) is I don’t think that vander went berserk because of victor’s “death” but that he went berserk because of singed being able to inject him with that stuff off screen(and considering we see singed standing in the rubble so he was fine) but this is just a thought might be wrong about this.

i don't want to give false hope, but immediately after the explosion it looked like time stopped, that could have just been a freeze frame but some people believe it might be Ekko.
