2:11:45 where you mention Winifred being angry combined with the fact she is a warrior, makes me think she could represent WRATH, one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Fits her a lot when you think about it.👏🏽

Celia is one of my fav characters she resonated with me suffering mental illness and what you said About her is so true about putting up a shield up telling people "i am fine" when you are not it just clicked with me thankyou sir.
@lexara787 Жыл бұрын
You're not wrong that the book *will* make you think and challenge you. All throughout the book, I've been drawn towards Locket's ideologies because they make sense and they work in that world. While harsh and critical as it is, it's a political and an intelligent view of that character. While the political view points of the other characters are just as interesting, the way Locket voices her ideologies is what draws me in. The way this book was written is spot on, cause at the end of the day, you'll end up with two things; a headache and entertainment from a hell of a good book. XD On another note, out of all the characters in the story, my ultimate favorites are Greta, Hyzen, Freyda, and Silvia Dreamweaver (I think that was her full name?). Greta cause of her obvious mysteries, Hyzen because I love that cinnamon roll, and Freyda and Silvia because I love their overall design. Massive yet elegant.

Wasn't able to watch the stream live, but I wanted to say that I absolutely love how you talked about Celia and her psychosis. It means a lot (As someone who suffers from the same thing) that you didn't make her an evil crazy person, but someone who still cares and shows happiness!
@LostSauce-443 ай бұрын
I was also suffering from psychosis for a period of time. Life just broke for me for a while. Celia really helped me through it, and I'm glad she helped other people too. It sucks that you go through it, but it's cool to feel less alone.

Lucy is my favorite. Here is hoping Fennah succeeds in life with this wonderful story. Melville and Lovecraft were not recognized for their brilliant work until after their deaths.

Although the "no good vs evil, everything is gray" Trope is getting very tiring as of late, because of sh/ttily written movies and other media, this book tackles it in an intriguing and quite frankly excelent and satisfying way! I was even worried about how religion would be handled, considering some... Past situations, but so far it was handled nicely and I like the angle Fennah is going for, which is ironically what my dad taught me: be warry of false shepherds. Of course, we'll have to wait for how it goes in the second book, because now it's obvious we will learn more about the "Followers of Freyda" And all that jazz. BUY THE BOOK

Cheers! My first attempt at a solid story was when I was 17. I’m 25 now, so my way of tackling topics has somewhat developed - thanks in no small part to the learning curve of Satellite City. Glad you’re enjoying the book! The book is very much my first legitimate crack at writing something serious.

@@S.FENNAH You actually inspired me to try out Blender and to continue creating my comic, because it's also kinda weird and freaky and I used to be afraid to go all in with the weirdness. But you showed that sometimes it's good to not give a fvck if your creation is weird, as long as it is competent and true to the author. I can only hope that I'll be able to make a living from my creations, because that's what I want to do: Tell stories and create bizarre characters. So, thank you! I just today finished reading your book! I am a teenager, though I'll technically be considered an adutl in a few weeks. It was certainly a long read, though I didn't mind it at all. I'm currently too sleep-deprived to really write any kind of detailed review-esque thingamajig so I'll just keyboard smash whatever comes to mind. I was very intrigued in the complex and at times brutal systems and the workings of the world, and it has inspired me to delve deeper into my own worldbuilding for a story I'm writing. Coincidentallly it is a similar sort of situation: An alien animal species in a world that in many ways defies reality and the laws of physics. That is where most of the similarities end, though. My species consists of canine creatures, though they also have many fantasy features, and are fittingly named "Caneiron" as I wanted a fairly simple, obvious name. I think my favorite characters, and there are plenty, are Celia, Bazzil and Teazzer, but I honestly quite liked all the characters. They're well-written and interesting creatures. I'm a big fan of their designs, too! My brain just went blank, so that's all you're getting haha... (I hope you don't mind me using your book for my Extended Essay, a 4000-word essay I need to write to graduate IB, my high school program.)
