Why are we looking for Pete to put together back to back game? He gave us a FULL SEASON last year his ineptitude as a offensive coordinator!! A Full season and 6 games this year! New England was fool's gold! My gosh...the insanity!!

Why test Ronald Curry in the pre-season as a play caller if you're never gonna have the balls to go to him when it counts. Let's make a change, any change. If it doesn't work, change again, it's gotta be better than watching what I watched today.

Wow! Can't believe we are still not holding Carr accountable for the 3rd down & red zone miscues. This is the same characteristics he brought with him from the Raiders. Instead we continue to blame the OC for the last 2 yrs. Maybe it is the HC & GM for favoring Dalton & Carr. Bridgewater, Hill & Winston were ok in the same offense.

So, what I saw was a team that tried, really tried to win. I think the truth is, they just are not as good as we would like. A team is only as good as they play. They can have all the talent in the world, but if the O-line can't make holes for the running backs, and they can't give the QB time to throw, there's only so much success they can have. Additionally, our vaunted defense had some good statistics - giving the rookie Stroud his first pick, and his first sack. (I think that's right, his first sack of the season) Still - we don't have much of a run defense from what I could see, at least, not consistently. Our cornerbacks are coached to be aggressive. We can't blame them too much if they get a bit handsy - that is how they are coached to play. Still, I am growing weary of these Pass interference calls when we can least afford them. I'll root for the Saints, but they are hard to watch right now.

Stroud was sacked 11 or 12 times through the first two weeks of the year. Bobby Slowick fixed the sack issues through a bunch of 3 step drops and quick passes to get the ball out fast. the scheme worked, only issue is it was only allowing a handful of plays with big play ability over those 4 weeks. the Falcons took advantage of that last week and played their safeties up which made it tough. we had our line back so i expected more time in the pocket for CJ but he rarely had any comfortable time in the pocket and was constantly pressured or having to get rid of the ball quick.

I wanna ask a question to Saints fans out there .. does it hurt more to be straight trash, or to see all this athletic potential be wasted like we're seeing now? All I can say is this organization looks like it's rotten at the root. The brooms should've been out after last season, but hindsight is 20/20. I just dont see any daylight at the end of this tunnel..you can put some blame on the players in execution but the true accountability lies on the coaching staff and front office. I see coaches week in and week out come with playcalling masterclasses. Misdirections, play fakes, meaningful pre play motion. Healthy rotation with intent. Playmakers being put in positions to succeed, not fail. Piss poor product from our team man. It's criminal and until I see that level of prep from the coaching staff, i can't put the weight of the blame on these players. The standard has become mediocre and this is how franchises end up in purgatory. The clock is ticking, and if we continue this optics campaign.. buckle up my friends.
@ukaserex
@ukaserex Жыл бұрын
Candidly, it hurts me more to see the talents of Hill, Kamara, Olave, Thomas and Shaheed on offense, along with the defense be wasted in these unproductive games. The organization itself is top-notch. I think it's just a weak o-line, coupled with Carr not really understanding the offense. There's a reason Brees did the "dink & dunk". He HAD to, and not because of broken ribs. Even with Armstead, the Saints O-line was weak, but looked good because of Brees getting rid of the ball so quickly. Additionally, Carr is just not that good of a QB. I don't think he's worth the money, and Taysom or Jameis could do the same job. Carr isn't winning us games. He's trying - no doubt. But something is wrong with the Offense, and I'm sure it's more than one thing.
@mythrapi73
@mythrapi73 Жыл бұрын
What saddens me and pisses me off is DA being too stubborn and thinking he has the right answers. Most of all his inability to evaluate QB talent. He's going to go to his coaching grave with Carr. He'll be out of here next year I'm sure and prolly the best he can hope for is landing another DC job somewhere. He refused to give Jaemeis a chance last year when Dalton was failing and our season lost. Also refused to sit Carr down against Tampa when he obviously was not the best choice. Now we're in a losing stretch with one win and soon to be 5 losses. This season is DONE. I see no light at the end of the tunnel. What seemed like an ez schedule a few weeks ago really magnifies how bad this team really is. Everyone saying fire everyone may help us let off steam but it wont come til the offseason. But some serious changes have to be made soon. We wasted 150 million on Carr so they're almost definately stuck with him. The Raiders let him go for a reason and we bit on him hook line and sinker. It'll be years before this team can challenge for a playoff run so may as well sit back and settle for mediocre play for the forseeable future.

This Saints team has the talent to be great, but they are not good enough. "Attitude reflex leadership Captain." The season on paper is still in play with everyone losing in the south today, but they're not going anywhere. The offense needs a brilliant player caller to run it. They don't have that. If DA remains the HC next season. He better find a better OC and revamp this offense, or they might as well blow it up and start over at the bottom.

Let's pretend we don't see the elephant in the room. It is just that Carr can't throw the fade! It is just that simple! Carr is the most talented player that isn't any good. His is so very talented, yet he lacks the poise to play good games. I am a Raider fan, we live and died with this guy, he just isn't a winner! @@mythrapi73 He was with our team for many years, and had many weapons to go to, it's is as if he thinks about football all the time, except when he's on the field. His skills are very good, but that is deceptive, because mental toughness is what sports requires, and he does not have that. When the Raider season was over last year, the coach decided to sit him and let some others get some snaps, he went full Donald Trump, and started acting like a baby. There were only two games left, and he wanted to control the coaching staff's decisions on which players to put in the game. He should have sat down and shut the fuck up, and he wouldn't be getting labeled a headcase, which he is. I got weird vibe when Carr was talking to Shaheed couple weeks ago "to run" for big play in game we won. Carr was talking to Shaheed like a big brother talks to little brother who always screws up or just not serious enough in big moments.

Completing 65 % percent of your passes and throwing 300 yards isnt terrible. He didnt have a great game either though.
