We basically got a young Nick Bosa in Dallas Turner and a future NFL MVP in JJ McCarthy. Insane!

@@MrSrtman18You don't think JJ will ever be MVP worthy Bart? Let me educate you, JJ is 21 he has a very bright future. Dallas Turner is an All American with other nods. Every QB in the draft wanted to come here, why? Yards. Jefferson, Addison, Hockenson, Jones what else do you need you can't get in FA or a trade son?

Another very subtle thing with JJ that may or may not be totally trivial. He's from Michigan, so he's used to playing in cold weather. That's going to help when we go to Chicago and GB.

JJ is legit, will need some time to develop. Long term, this kid will prove to be a great bet. The Vikings are a great fit for him.

I am just curious as to how B-Flo plans to utilize this guy, with Greenard and Van Ginkel, will he be on the line playing 3-technique or something? He is used to hand in the dirt, if we can get all 3 of those guys on the field, plus Pace + Cashman + Metellus, that is pretty scary. Never know WHO or WHERE they are coming from, I love it! Also, PA: Jefferson prefers "Jets" to JJ, lol.
@WallpapersOnWallpaperEngine4 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not an every down guy to start. Give him time to get bigger in the weight room and learn from greenard and slowly transition to an every down pass rusher

Think of JJ McCarthy this way: Coming out of college, he's got a Bachelor's degree in Quarterback from the Jim Harbaugh school of football. If he sits and studies for a year in Minnesota, he will have a Master's degree from O'Connell / McCown university of Quarterback Engineering. If he sits for two years, he'll have a PhD, and a license to practice QB in all 50 states. Best of all, in two years McCarthy will be 23 years old. We'll have to call him, "Doctor McCarthy."

J.J. (a former hockey player) is tough as nails. Against Maryland J.J. was dealing with a knee injury that made it painful to plant and throw. A Michigan coach said J.J. was in so much pain by half-time tears rolled down his cheeks. His dad wanted him to get an MRI, but he refused and said I'm playing. We could tell something was wrong with his leg but Harbaugh (as he's known for doing) kept the injury under wraps until after the Bama game. By the time the Championship game rolled around J.J. said it was fine.

Unfortunately i am not a Turner fan at all. Too small (weight). Had barely any pass rush moves. Doesn't yet know how to extend his arm while rushing. Some of his tackles seem very weak against smaller college players. Has a hard time getting them all the way down.
