His life will never be the same, and he'd not out of the woods yet, since Neely's family is suing him in civil court. It also cost him a fortune for legal representation. I don't think he's the kind to try to profit from an unfortunate situation.

You said he spent a large chunk on the vaccine, but pandemic spending was primarily in stimulus to keep Americans and business afloat during lockdown. Over five trillion dollars of Trump’s debt was to save the United States citizens from financial ruin at cost of debt. Out of all the things we’ve blown money on, like Iraq, I think debt spending during months of lockdown is very appropriate.

I'm sorry he lost his life. I agree with the jury's decision founding Penny not guilty. Why didn't the family try to get him help or did they just gave up on him? The family knew he had issue / problems, they could of went to courts and have him committed to the hospital, making the case of danger to himself and others. Also I don't think the father or any of Neely's family shouldn't be able to cash in one his death. The family and the system let Jordan Neely down RIP ❣

Look at Texas with the exception of two counties in the south. The blue main ones are the five cities of Houston, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, and Dallas. Everywhere else in the 250 plus counties is the Red Sea.

Oh, Bill, your gaslighting answer is a bit off. You are correct that the term is based on a film from 1940's, 'Gaslight', starring Ingrid Bergman, I might add, but I must push back on your description of the term's origin. What connects the term to that film has nothing to do with the nature of a gaslight itself, but rather with the fact that the entire plot of the film revolves around a husband who tortures his wife with an elaborate scheme to drive her crazy. He does this by numerous means, including planted evidence of activity later removed and a gaslight that he remote controls from elsewhere in the house, turning in on and off in such a fashion as to make her out as a liar when she makes claims about when the light was on, when the light was off, and whether or not she saw what she claims to have seen. The term "gaslighting" has since come to be a description of when someone is knowingly manipulating a narrative or series of facts in order to lead an individual or group of people to believe their own reality, memory or perceptions are false, despite their better inclinations. It isn't from the false nature of a gaslight flame.

New Mexico state government has been Blue Democrat since it became a US state in 1912 - though there have been Republican governors, the state congress has always been Democrat. The governor elect now is a Socialist Democrat. Most of the lower part of the state is Red, but the larger population area (Albuquerque) is in the upper part. Not sure if the people there will ever have the courage and the backbone to better themselves - it is sad.

A generation ago when I first started voting (turned 18 less than a week before the 2000 election and was so excited I got to vote in it), there were three "Full Red" states: Oklahoma, Utah, and my home state of Nebraska. In the past generation, the urban centers in Nebraska's two main cities, Lincoln and Omaha, have liberalized to the point that their counties have turned blue, while the same has happened in Salt Lake City, turning its county in Utah blue.
