It’s a step in the right direction. Just bought the game a few days ago. I have gone with the option to not set rivals or allow automatic but rather create my card and the freelance to matches I want to. 1.I would love for them to add a pre, mid, and post match categories to allow for a simplified path to find the cut scenes. 2. I would love to see mid match cutscenes for example, interference, ref bumps, and basic heel stuff lol. 3. Incorporate promo cutscene. Promo attacks, hell, throw in a contract signing or something lol. 4. Allow me to pick the opponent or opponents for matches that doesn’t include the rivals head to head. Either way I think it was a step in the right direction and hope it evolves into more of a create a story/ universe mode…

So quick question, lets say I choose the action where a rival sits ringside on his rival’s match. Will the extra opponent in the ring be random all the time or do I have the power to choose that opponent, and if so how?

I have a problem, for rivalries that involve a tittle, after the ppv, the rivalry doesn't finish, and I don't know when it will finish. I know I can just delete the rivalry after the PPV, but I liked when after the ppv that rivalry automatically ended

Rivalries always took away from my enjoyment of Universe mode. I always turn them off and don't bother making them. Rivalries can even result in softlocks of your Universe mode progress when playing the superstar version in 2K22, requiring you to start from scratch.

That’s why I loved svr 2011 universe so much there wasn’t a rivalry system but random interactions based on who you were ally’s or rivals with. I had a #1 contender’s match with my cousin and a rival of mine came out and it damn near became a handicap match.

They need to put spectate mode in universe like how they have in MyGM and MYNba and add like two more slots for rivalries so it’s 5 per show that way when it’s a ppv all matches are rivalries

So I love the idea of this but I have 2 big questions from it 1) Are minor Rivalries or whatever they were called no longer a thing? Because they were great because they allowed cutscenes to occur outside of rivalry matches. 2) Does it always tell you what actions a superstar is going to take? Because for someone who wants to be surprised and get the CPU to decide most of the times, it's going to get real annoying if I have to close my eyes all the time to avoid being spoiled lol Also as a bonus question, have you any idea what the full calender is? I'm always curious to see where all the PLEa end up and on what week

Proably better to use the ones they had instead of making new ones for this mode. I think next year it will be improved even more. It’s a great base for jt. I rather have the same scenes with less bugs then new scenes with more bugs. Hopefully next years game will have more to it. Good start though

you know what they never put in? for example you are playing UM on Raw shows and when you go to edit matches, you should be able to switch in between options when choosing a wrestler like Male superstars, CAW superstars, female superstars thingy and have a Show roster option. Lets say you wanna do Cody Rhodes vs an opponent from Raw, it would be easier to choose from a Raw roster option then to think about who's on your Raw show.

Are you able to pick the wrestler they face? I want to do the cut scene where Owens trash talks Zayn after a match but would love to pick the opponent Zayn wrestlers. Is this really automatic?

Last year superstore mode had a glitch that made it literally unplayable. If you hit a card that you were not booked on, you could not advance any further because the game would load forever. I am begging someone to investigate this to see if it happened again.

2022 had a Ton of problems with Universe mode period. I am not buying the game until it's proven they fixed All the crash causing bugs and save data corruption bugs

As in your video, sometimes when you choose free mode nothing happens. You get a screen shot of a wrestler, but no choice of anything. You can back out and you still have the first choices, but it's like it's not giving you free mode. Why is this? Is it because of a 'qualifier' you mentioned not being there?

As long as certain qualifiers are met ( things like being in a team, being a champ, etc.) it seems like it. Free mode- no momentum cost, standard - gotta earn those actions

Can someone please explain to me what's going on with the rivalry actions. When I try to put my action on, I get a screen similar to 5:13 where it's blank on left side and has the superstars on right? UPDATE So does a rivalry need to be active to pick rivalry actions. Sorry I'm just trying to understand. I don't understand why sometimes I can pick rivalry actions, and sometimes I can't?

I'm in week 3 on universe mode and the game still randomly chooses rivalry actions for me on Raw (it allows me to pick actions only on Smackdown)

So if someone gains the momentum advantage in the first week of a rivalry will they always win the rival action because they have more momentum? That seems like you NEED to enable free mode to have the rivalry go back and forth.

Nope. They will have a higher chance of winning their actions. Also in non-free mode actions cost momentum. Spend too much and it backfires on you

I like the feature but the main problem when it coms to Universe Mode is no promos, we've has the same cutscenes since 2K16 we need some new cutscenes, and wrestlers facing off every single week. It's a step in the right direction but hopefully we get more next game.

While it's a step in the right direction. It still appears to be very underwhelming. This video is a perfect example. Finn stomps him a few times. End of scene. I'm sure some scenes are decent. But most have been dull in the past. Looks more the same. Plus where are other improvements? Still no draft, still no #1 contender, no tournament. Promos are out. But I argue you can tell better stories based off the actions you choose during the course of a rivalry

The key will be if run in during other matches can be used with this.... that would be a great way to build the rivalries without actually having them face off in a match, or have the action be a call out that leads to one running away or a fight without a match.. that would work too
