Thank you for all of the great information!! This might be a stupid question but how would you categorize songs from jukebox musicals that have been in the MT cannon for so long? (like Mamma Mia) Would you consider it MT contemporary or pop/rock? Or does it depend on the arrangement?

Never a stupid question! It depends on the show for sure! Some of them would fit contemporary musical theatre, some pop/rock, and some 50's/60's! It just depends on the particular show you are going for and what they are asking for in the breakdown. Mamma Mia might be contemporary or pop/rock! I hope this helps.
