Very glad to see Coach Haggins retained in a meaningful role for himself, and for the University. It is not an easy or comfortable moment for either side, times such as this. It does however occur, and for both 'sides', I wish and hope the most respectable, very best! dm

He's one of the few Noles, that's been around, since the early Coach Bowden days, so yes, Coach Odell is our DT teacher, so great re-sign 😀👍🫡

I enjoyed fsu this year in football. It was great.
@richardperritti5916Ай бұрын
With all that said, this year ever team we played was running the ball down our throat. The D line played big part in that. I am glad we bring in a new DL coach. Also want to see a new strength and conditioning coach.
@joshrich6036Ай бұрын
To be fair some of that is just the fuller scheme. His defenses have always been pretty lackluster against the run. Even last year we got gashed at times but it was overlooked because our offense could build early leads

I'm happy to see him still be a part of the program but we needed a younger defensive line coach that can recruit for today's athletes now next let's get a line backing coach

I am so glad they kept him and expanded his role at this university he is FSU through and through. So many of my friends who are also FSU fans said that they better fix this program, but Odell must remain. 😂

And this is coming from a Miami Hurricane fan.. I love Bobby Bowden and Mickey Andrew’s and Odell Haggins should be FSU Head Coach!!!! He was Taught by the Best and he knows how to run a team and his players love him… Fire Mike and Give Coach Haggins a shot at being a head coach.. he deserves it 💯💯

I’m no fsu fan but if you can’t retain Haggins you might as well stop playing football at that former girls school. I think Mike has always had a bad taste in his mouth for Haggins ever since he slapped a bottle of gatoraid out of his hand day one on campus.

In the podcast before this, I said that was what I was expected but also mentioned that a role within the boosters or off field was possible. Glad to be wrong and glad you're the one negative comment on this video! God bless! 😂

Not sure why everyone thinks this is so great. He's been pretty awful for years. We need to stop acting as if he's on the same level as Bobby Bowden. He's not. What this says to me is the same things I've been saying for the past 4 seasons... Norvell isn't a boss. He plays that "friends" game way too hard.
@kendrickcason3477Ай бұрын
It's cool for him he's moving into another position and he wasn't the blame at least not all of it
@teddillon7739Ай бұрын
He's not staying in the same role
@ramirrasАй бұрын
@@teddillon7739 I totally get that but he really hasn't done much FOR the team in many years, especially in recruiting. People seem to like him as a mascot.
@teddillon7739Ай бұрын
@@ramirras I was wanting him moved to a liason role to build relationships with the parents of recruits,it sounds like it's that plus more...as long as he is not taking up an on field slot I think it's a good thing
@JuanJacobyАй бұрын
What idiots. Odell's been a liability since he's been here. Firing him was a grand move and long overdue. Inventing a hanger-on job which allows him to wander around campus like an old goat with Alzheimer's could prove dangerous. What if he tries to tell players how to play their positions and the players actually listen? We will be guaranteed to lose for another decade. You want to do something for him, put him an old folk's home, give him a goldfish bowl with fish painted on the side, hand him a piece of string and tell him to fish to his heart's desire. Then lock the door as you leave.
@jodylane9889Ай бұрын
Hate to say it because i love Odell but i think FSU should move on completely from him, whens the last time FSU had a dominant DL, 10+ years ago, even last years 13 win team our interior D wasn't good, was 73rd in the country at stopping the run. At least he wont be the DL coach anymore.
@richardbrookins5406Ай бұрын
OK I will respectfully disagree with you. Do not blame the D-line coach for all the crap the program has gone through since Bobby left. If you don't have top talent then you can't have a top D-line...period. And you can't get good talent with the program they have put on the field. I hope this is not some bs move to get him moving on the way out. If so I may have to move with him and I have been a fan since the 70's.
@chrisshaffer2949Ай бұрын
So you agree then because he's not the dline coach anymore
