Nah this was a great episode and a great reference to Breaking Bad and one of the best if not the best of the season. It is absolutely comparable to other season's episodes and did good with real life connections. Like previous season episodes. Even if the overall season is the worse (which it is) this episode is good. Mickey, just is coming out of left field with hating the episode with no room for exception. Also, the characters are not too out of character, some are even spot on as they were in the past.

He’s pretty on par with past episodes of past seasons, I can grant that he could have been more efficiently utilized and not only do the gray jokes. But they were very “proper” for the situations such as grandad getting undressed over and over. It’s pretty in character. To back track, I do agree not necessary great, but good as I stated later in the comment. Derivative, it’s an argument to be made but it was a good cultural reference and parallel that worked great for the story of black hair products. The episode was not warranting the tear down that was given
