Why isn’t Selena Gomez crying for the migrants from various countries that were working in Israel to support their families back home. That isn't to suggest that all lives aren't important to our creator, but I believe that your nation is effectively like an extension of your community and your community is an extension of your family, so when I think of my fellow Americans, I'd believe I have a unique obligation to them in a way that I do not to other people as much is, I might ALSO care about them. Every time I see Americans parading down our street advocating for the people who have dared to ki dnap our people, I am utterly sickeded by it. Had Biden impressed upon people that many of those in captivity are Americans, I think it would've made it a little more difficult for people here to disassociate themselves from what started this conflict in the way that they have and to only focus on the devastation we're seeing on our TV screens. I don't know what it's like in New Zealand, or in other parts of the world, but I think most Americans know almost nothing about this conflict and as a result, their perceptions seem to be greatly influenced by the side, they believed to be the "underdog"

Israel abided by their request. Thailand dealt with hamas separately for the release of their nationals. If memory serves me right, there is still one Thai national in captivity. The Tanzanian hostage has died in captivity
