Colin, I’d love to show you how to shape a surfboard. Your knowledge of the different resins and fiberglass materials has really come along and I think that you would enjoy the whole experience of shaping a board. Plus at the end of it you have a very personal attachment to your surfboard and become a better surfer. One more thing, you’re going to want to put some racks for surfboards on your dingy. It gets real old real fast having a bunch of boards bouncing around you while trying to sit down.

Just a suggestion, when your arms get itchy, use duct tape, looped around itself and pat yourself off with it, it grabs the fiberglass fibers out of your skin, saves you days of the itchies!!

find an old lazy bag and use to make a new canvas/sun cover for the tubes, old ones are usually blue...find a strong way to lock the outboard to the hull, you will need it when you get to Tahiti...great episode, and roll on the pacific...
