"Cyber frog doesn't like that, he has great respect for the English language. So he murders him." I'm here for the humor and I'm not disappointed.

I'm sure you wouldn't have imagined that your art in the 90's would be of better quality than most marvel books 20 years later...

So freaking cool to see this Ethan! Can't believe you fit that much detail into a comic sized page while drawing & inking it. Didn't realize you knew Trent either. That's awesome. -Clayton

What a love story, honestly and without bravado, that made me tear up. I just had a great V-day with my girlfriend and am watching this as she sleeps as we have different schedules. It sounds to me like you're with somebody special Ethan and I want to tell you that as a fan of yours (never being a part of comic-dom in general, just have been aware of the political 'war' going on and subsequently fell in love with your channel) I couldn't be happier for you. Very uplifting video in so many aspects, keep doing what you're doing, keep being amazing concerning the way you interact with us fans and keep being you, the person who earned this success and admiration. I mentioned I don't follow comics but it's now become my mission to get something by you to frame and dispay so whenever somebody asks me what's that about I can just answer simply "That's an amazing piece of work done by a great guy who has his priorities straight" with the added benefit that it will remind me to keep my priorities straight too! Cheers Ethan, very happy with what I've seen from you thus far - love the channel!

that CREED style looks very similar to a style of shirts with taggers images with baggy pants,spraycans, huge VAN like shoes with two thick lases lol.brought back early 90's.

Merchantville, eh? Haddon Twp checking in, here. People have very little idea just what it takes to break into an industry like this, especially back in the 90's, before any kind of communication like we have now. Awesome look into this stuff! Thanks, breh!

Ethan I'm basically the same age as you, I remember that day well. I think everybody remembers where they were the day news hit of Kurt Cobain's death. Seemed surreal. Nirvana was without a doubt the biggest band that came out of that era and pretty much defined it.

When I was around that age, my friend and I wrote this huge "novel" like that. It wasn't really a traditional novel or a narrative, it was just about this one guy who was a complete moron and would get killed over and over again in each little scene, then be alive again at the beginning of the next one. The whole thing was us trying to come up with the most ridiculous and over the top ways for him to die. I mean we had STACKS of those lined journals they gave you in school just filled up with this stuff. We thought it was the funniest thing on earth. I wish I still had it to see if the humor aged well (almost certainly not), but they took it away from us and we got in a bunch of trouble with the principal because they thought it was too violent or something. Luckily my parents recognized it for what it was: Just boys being boys. So I know exactly what you're talking about.

I guess we were a bit younger now that I think of it, since we were still in high school

This comic actually reminds of ninja turtles, you know? the mirage volumes. Black and white, indie, violent, anthropomorphic amphibian instead of reptiles, but close enough.

I was jealous of the Creed kid too. He was about my age and working in comics! I feel like that was a selling point to the marketing that he was so young. Also, his style on the cover was very McFarlane like...

> This was what my hair looked like kzbin.info/www/bejne/moDMdmOCeNppgJI >EVS was an edgy '90s Nirvana teen. How original. > This is the way we used to listen to music. David Van Driessen had his eight tracks tho. Till he didn't. > We got together with a group of edgy teens who had this plan for when the one guy's mum died he would start a comic company and pay us. Were you guys in SLACKER in 1991?

EVS, I remember you saying that you were promised $500 and so many issues and you never got the money but the issues were more important to you. Obviously you want to get paid but why were the issues so much more important? Is it to get your name out there?
@ComicArtistProSecrets6 жыл бұрын
$500 is cool, but a printed comic book, and a box of them, is priceless.
