This is one incentive Marvel has for doing the one-shots and specials like 'Werewolf By Night'. It's like a MCU contract includes fan marketing promotions in the "4th Wall" dimension, so delaying Blade, allows M.A's blade to be marketed along with other characters and save money on overall marketing which will eventually point back to Marvel Comics which will continue creating a new storyline. Blade being introduced in the Midnight Sons will be better as it will allow better cameos and budget for promo prior to Blade's solo movie which will require a large budget to complete .

In my opinion, the midnight son's is a project that should be built towards. However, if they are releasing a midnight son's project first, then I think mephisto should be the villain and the big bad of the supernatural side of Marvel. It should be Blade, Ghost Rider, Scarlett Witch, Doctor Strange, moon knight & morbuis. From there we get a Blade trilogy, a Ghost rider trilogy & a Scarlett Witch solo movie. Favorite Hero: Batman

The Flaming Skull of WWII could be ret-conned into being a Ghost Rider (or not) and they could use him as a character in a WWII based story. It's strange that he doesn't pop up more often in the comics now that he's no longer stuck in a well. There's Jack Frost and Blue Diamond that could be used for such a project.

I will say that if one wanted an example of why this isn't the greatest idea, one could look to the Justice League movie which featured a whole cast that hadn't been properly introduced in their own films before suddenly bringing them together. The contrast is the Avengers, which worked very well and introduced most of the cast in their own films first. Does this mean Midnight Suns can't work? No, but it means the risk is higher.

Honestly even without the bracketed ones I’d be so so happy. Seeing a team up of mystical monsterish people would be awesome. Maybe Iron Heart would tie in somehow with The Hood and Mephisto

I hope they don't add Punisher to the Midnight Sons roster. He hasn't been part of the team in the comics, and he fits much better to street level movies and series with Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Echo and others.

Depending on a few factors. However Ghost Rider has been introduced through Agents of Shield, and there are the 2 Nick Cage movies. Marvel has kept their distance from these at various levels but I think that the mindset they took with Spiderman applies here. While perhaps not acknowledging the particular products they do recognize the audience knows the origins well enough that they don't have to retread that ground. Same with Blade. The other characters may be more in need of some origin explanation such as Man-Thing but due to limited popularity, perhaps not.

Listen I love marvel. I love the movies I love the comic books. I love it all. But I really do truly feel like where they lack in their storytelling is they will throw so many movies and shows out of order and want us to keep up or interest and then you try to pack what you see you missed in the previous into the next. Even when introducing a new character you should always keep it consistent to the story already at hand, the characters arch should start at that point of the story, I hope that with the reboot they introduce character based shows and avenger level type movies. But still release them to run the arch of the new character to run concurrently with the story your telling so no need to back track or fill gaps, idk just a thought.

And I say again no hate I love em all, I just know we can do better with patience and keeping things more neat, more in home n not fan based, yes take ideas from us but don't change whole characters or replot stories with hidden extras because of it. Keep it flowing and let's congestive. If it's a story teller tell a story, like with Eternals, how much hate it got because it was a story n not action based, marvel whipped em off the map, and changed the whole make up of the MCU when that Netflix show inhumans supposed to have bombed, another great story based show, not all action but a get to know the characters plot as a show runner should be. Both 2 great shows dropped n deleted from the timeline why?

I’m cautiously optimistic that Midnight Sons will be before Secret Wars. Sounds like they originally wanted to build to Midnight Sons for before Secret Wars but Blade got delayed a bunch and now they’re doing Midnight Sons sooner (maybe it has a better script) so we can get it in Phase 6. This would satisfy Mahershala as he gets Midnight Sons as a movie (and then Blade solo later for early next saga) and we get our final team before Secret Wars. Also means we get a ton of awesome crossover films and Spiderman 4 in late phase 5 and phase 6.

I agree having the midnight sons film would be best for now. Here is the issue after Doomsday and secret wars doing solos won’t fit the mutant phases as Agatha,blade,Ghost Ryder are all supernatural. It would be distracting to run two different path next phase

I kinda wish it went down like this, we get a series for Black Knight with Blade helping him train to use the sword best since he’s been around it before. With him telling just a bit of his time in his early years then leaving telling him I need to go gather the others. Then we see him in the last episode of moon knight season 2. Then maybe if they wish to put the punisher on the team he shows up in the punisher series if they do that. Then last in that rumored Wong series and have it be Wong that’s on the team leading alongside Blade and there like really good friends. Then we get The Midnight Sons with the crew getting both Ghost Rider and werewolf by night. Then we see the Blade solo film and Ghost rider solo film. I just feel Midnight Sons being like an avengers film needs build up.

i'm ok with the Midnight Sons Debut with all the characters and then maybe not a full on origin flashback after that, but more stylized one shots of them on their own doing their thing and not necessarily a full on origin i think Blade maybe some could kind of loosely get from the original movie, and those that weren't born or never saw the original one, you could probably have small pieces of whatever their origin was without taking away from whatever their in the middle of their story one shot adeventure thing is i'm not sure it's entirely necessary to go back all the way to the begining for a full on origin story, i figured some people are in the camp of moving them forward but at the same time i know there's those who came into this late or aren't as familiar but i think this approach with the Midnight Sons thing first and then one shots works with each in their own style and all that, at least in style that Marvel allows are far as keeping things pretty close and samey-ish on brand and stuff

I think Blade could succeed with the DCEU Wonder Woman approach. He's very elderly, like Wolverine. It's not terrible, but the solo movie first would've been cooler if the timing worked out. Kinda wish Bo Demayo's Blade story made it through.

Ghostrider already has movies and a show. You can drop him into any other Marvel storyline with no more context. Punisher same thing. Blade the movie is already made. Basically, the best plan is to make and release the Midnight Sons film. Having Blade be set in the past, would allow Ali and Snipes to coexist as Blade, with the Midnight Sons Blade then they can just use the whole multiverse excuse.

I would like to see Johnny Blaze and Ghost Rider as part of the team. Then have a flashback movie showing that transition from Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider to the new one. It could be Danny Ketch or probably Robbie Reyes (to check the diversity box and still not feel forced). Nick Cage could play a good disgruntled, grumpy old Johnny Blaze reluctantly mentoring this new “kid”

I think they should do it the way they introduced Black Panther in Civil War then do the solo movie in real mcu time. Just give us a glimpse of his origins and keep it moving. Just have him in the mix is good enough.

I would actually prefer to see Blade and the Midnight Sons films once the multiverse is over. Blade maybe a super natural character but he’s also a main street level character which I would prefer to see than a lot of magic going on and multiverse stuff. Midnight Sons projects all need to be street level
