Better 3P, ball handling, dribble penetration and passing like PGuard, but less verticality. Mavs already have many vertical guys, what we need is a more secure forward handling and the dribble, plus the 3 points, Marshall brings both, probably better penetration and passing than PJ.

I think naji is not only the replacement for jones but the replacement for green. If you look at both greens and Marshall’s highlights. Both of them can pass, play defense, shoot, and hustle. This leads me to believe that green is most certainly being traded to the warriors for Thompson.

That Thompson S&T for Green and THJ's TPE and Diniwddie's vet Min his gonna hit way different after signing Marshall. Hate to see DJJ but I knew he was about to get 15+M a year from someone after his year last year. Finally got a chance to prove his worth and his ability as a 2 way player. Now Luka Highlighted and put a spotlight on that, but hes still solid. If he doesnt go somewhere with an elite playmaker you will see him somewhat take a step back to Bulls DJJ. Marshall was a big time get on a nice team friendly contract that is going to bring a lot of similarites to DJJ. Def gonna miss those halfcourt fast break Lobs to DJJ. So much fun to watch and made our home crowds explode.

Naji will make the Mavs offense more fluid. He's a confident shooter and a better ball handler that is also 6'7 and younger. I'd say better defender because he is very active with quick hands. DFS 2.0 great pick up.

People are overlooking the fact that his new agent is a slimy weasel who is really good at manipulating the situation to get his client some extra money. If he’s representing Jones, then it’s obvious resigning with the Mavericks is no longer his priority, more of a back up plan. If you go look at DJJ stats before the Mavs, he and Naji have similar stats. Naji is a little taller, heavier and with longer wingspan. This means Naji will do better against those bigger opponents DJJ struggled with but it also means Naji will struggle with the smaller defenders DJJ guarded well. My advice to the Mavs is Pivot away from Klay because all of this reeks of Lebron, Rick Paul and Klutch Sports doing what they do. I’m not mad at Lebron but you have to see what he’s doing through Rich Paul 🤷‍♂️
