2023 Mercedes car, the one Lewis implied was a failure because they didn't listened to him, was 2nd in the constructors and gave Lewis the 3rd in drivers 2024 Mercedes car which , was build around Lewis' preferences is 4th in the constructor and Lewis currently in 8th

The W10 and the ubiquitous W11 was built and developed with his input as told by James Allison Loc Sera Mike Elliot ..if my memory serves me correct he won the WDC in both of those cars..and btw F1 car designer Gary Andersen said Lewis concerns about the W 13-15 were legit and valid..No he isn't an engineer but a good car needs true positive feedback from the driver to the engineers but the current engineers told Lewis that he was wrong and that they knew what they were doing...well maybe but the car's performance or lack of have been on displayed for 3 years. and btw Loc Sera also express his concerns on how the no side pods design wasn't the way to go. Loc left for Ferrari ...

@@edennard1 Hamilton's primary concern was the driver seat position being moved forward which, as far as he was concern, made his driving pretty awkward. This was primarily an issue of driver's preferences and had very little relevance to their issues with regards to the car's instability and lack of performance. Russell did not have an issue with the seats which points out how it was merely a problem of the driver's ability to adapt to the car for Hamilton, so I could understand why the engineers dismissed Lewis' concern, as they were more focus about improving and building on the concept and they expected that Lewis will get used to it over time. Allison pointed out that the zero-pod wasn't the cause of their issues. Their problems is mainly due to the simulation results that were not correlating with what's happening on track, and in general, Allison did not like the regulations of the ground effect car coupled with stiff suspension, as he finds it as a very sensitive and unstable platform with very little margin of error.
