BREAKING: Miami Beats FSU & Oregon For Four Star LB Gavin Nix | More To Come This Week?

The Miami Hurricanes have just landed a verbal commitment from four star linebacker Gavin Nix. The Class of 2025 IMG Academy standout chose Miami over FSU and Oregon. Nix referred to his Hurricanes official visit in June as a game-changer after he really connected with linebackers coach Derek Nicholson. Nix was the defensive captain at IMG last season and is regarded as being physically mature enough to get on the field as a freshman.
Host Alex Donno reacts to the Nix commitment and offers scouting reports from recruiting experts Brian Smith and Larry Blustein. The Hurricanes just moved up from the 15th ranked class in America to top 15 for 2025. Donno wonders if Miami can get good news soon from four star safety Hylton “Drake” Stubbs, four star IOL Seuseu “SJ” Alofaituli and 2026 quarterback Dereon Coleman. Stubbs and Coleman will both be making announcements later this week.

Miami getting receivers soon. Defense & the special teams is set & will play great. It’s a process & Coach C & his staff is doing a great job getting talent & hard workers. Building a culture like the old Hurricanes. The alumni lettin these guys know about expectations. FSU had a good run last season but their depth hurt em. quitters & cry babies don’t help at QB. FSU does not have a QB. They may win 7-8 games but Canes won’t be one of them. Can’t wait! QBs in the room rnw. Good liter of great speedsters out the bottom. Dont haft to worry about receivers! They will come. Defense wins championships! Ball control with good solid Running game TEs that block run & can catch. Xavier is all ACC 4th year junior at slot! Got a good center. The deep threats are coming & another Slot. Big fast boy on the 9 route to take the top off defense & open up running game. Miami building like Michigan had. Great Defense ball control run the clock out on you & beat you up. Stay tuned. Go Canes!!
