Love seeing this old school equipment still being used, I had the NP world cup slalom sails back in the day. Sailed them with a F2 sputnik 280 and loved them. What location is this, I don't recognise it?

Thank you for your kind words. It is great fun to keep these oldies on the water as they still do the job well. Please check my other videos where I run the Sputnik 265 World Cup Edition with different Neilpryde World Cup Slalom sails: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJ2VaZeVeJ1-pKc kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXbbpZpni92Ne7c Most of the videos are shot on spot next to Marina Muiderzand at Lake Markermeer in the Netherlands very near Amsterdam.

Was the sail ok? The mast sleeve didn't look like it was torn. I've broken a boom, but never a mast. I also Pulled a footstrap out of a board now that I think about it. I snapped the Center Board on my long board too.

As the top of base splited/cloved gentle (see short: kzbin.infoJ16NdjWKagA?feature=share) and remained half in place, there was no total disconnecting and or sharp fracture. I guess that saved my mast sleeve. Where I cranked the downhaul hard. I once snapped a mast before, where the aluminium middle joint/adapter was completely corroded. Was simular picture, less than a minute out.. Clean crack, no damage.. But then I had to swim all the way back to the shore.
