@@JetsMediaRichiehe was signed to significant money to be our nickel back on the recommendation of our now former DC, Steve Wilks. Struggled mightily in training camp and then Wilks tried to salvage his blunder by saying he was our matchup guy against bigger slot players. So the season comes around and he struggles against pretty much every type of slot player and by the end of the season they realized the guy is pretty much unplayable. He’s got length and is generally a decent tackler but guy can’t move laterally and turn. He’s a dime linebacker and special teams body only.

@@JetsMediaRichie I don’t think he changes direction well enough to be really competent at either. We didn’t play him outside in San Fran but I know he struggled mightily there with the Falcons and that’s when they moved him inside. He played ok for them inside in 2022 but was terrible for us there in 2023. Like I said, I think he’s a special teamer and a linebacker in 6 DB packages. He can make plays coming downhill and near the line of scrimmage. But when he has to guard guys who are decently shifty in space it’s rough. Has to keep everything in front of him. Can’t really stay on anyone’s (except for some of the least athletic TEs) hip.

If you niners fan this is not even a signing or even a release you get excited or upset about because niners got winning mentality organization. I am really embarrassed to be Jets fan I can't even go to games in take seat with Jets fanbase because they all have losers mentality.
