My question is why aren't any other women's colleges even close to the talent ONE college has? I love sports but I HATE "dynasties" like cool we get it your team gets all the money and all the best players, seems sorta monopolistic to me. IMO no one likes seeing the same teams shut everyone out year after year after year, it gets to where it's boring and not entertaining. Like oh they won ANOTHER game or ANOTHER championship, so what

Lets be honest. The better TEAM won. I mean, the entire South Carolina team was like 3 inches taller on average then Iowa. Very very hard to win a game with that kind of disadvantage. Never the less, Iowa did something special, beating a lot of Blue Blood teams over the last couple of seasons. But South Carolina was just unbeatable today.

I definitely wouldn't say she's a class act. I think she's doing a good acting job. She learned from the blow back that Reese got so she's intentionally not saying anything out of line after Reese's foolish comments. Trust me, Caitlyn isn't happy at all about this loss. You can see the controlled rage underneath all of that politically correct banter. On several occasions she started making "I" it's all about me statements then she self corrected. She knows exactly what she's saying and she knows what not to say. This girl probably went home and tore up her apartment in a fit of rage! lol. No one as competitive as her just takes it on the chin like this. She and Reese made the exact same mistake: they tried to carry their team singlehandedly to victory and would up biting off more than they could chew. Caitlyn had a horrible game and just gave out of gas. It happens. She'll be fine. Can't wait to see her in the WNBA.

You don't need to help Clark. No one helped Cordoza. It is a TEAM sport. I've seen them play as a team with Gabbie hitting from the outside and I can't remember the other girl that drives. Ok i have been quiet long enough. If i hear one more time you have to win a championship to be great or the best at something is ridiculous in college. Many athletics that are good and 5 star usually go to what they call bluebloods. I have seen many of those fizzle out in college and only win something because they were along for the ride. These are duke, kentucky, Connecticut, south carolina. Well catlin clark a 5 star went to a school and shook the world for 4 years. She got better every year. She drew people from everywhere to watch her and her team. Tell me that isnt greatness and remarkable. Name one other player who could do that. Also took her team the last 2 years to the final four with less talented player( by star ratings). Everyone in the nation planned against her game after game. Yet she still put up numbers each game to puzzle coaches. Win or lose she was humble and respectful. She shows class most coaches dont. Dawn staley, kim molkey, geno auriema, etc. This girl has made iowa proud with her grace and behavior win or lose. She has touched more people and kids then most other stars and athletes. If that isnt the GOAT i dont know what is. Making an impact in kids and adults livesis more important then any trophy you could win by far. Championships fade away. Impressions have lasting effects in the next generations. I will take that over a trophy i dont care how many. That a GOAT!!!!!

Keep in mind that most of these players became millionaires in college so winning and losing hits differently. Caitlyn, Reese, Cardosa, and others made millions so the WNBA is now about playing the game and not about finally getting in a position where they have money. These 22 years old live like queens. They're not hurting for money, already have agents, etc... She's a good player but, as we saw in these past two years, she's not exceptional. I believe she's on her way to that level but she's still got to work on ball handling and doing more than just three pointers and fast break lay ups. I love watching her play and can't wait to see her in the WNBA!

lol That girl is NOT humble. She's pissed to the heavens but has a great agent and team who help her deal with the media. This girl made millions in college and all of them, except the unhinged Angel Reese, fully understands that they are now brand$. Caitlyn keeps it "pc" because she knows her name and image means money. She was even controlling her complaining on the court. Someone needs to tell Angel Reese to get an image consultant, someone who can help her come across more polished and professional because she's a walking disaster. At this stage of the game, they need to protect their brand. Trust me, the games that we just watched are comprised of 22 year old millionaires who are making more money than most of the people in the stadium combined. CC isn't going to say anything to mess that up or to draw negative attention to herself and I don't blame her. She's very calculated and it makes sense to be that way.

@@GregGVLVanLeerJr Reese definitely is unhinged. She treated her sudden fame like she'd just won the lottery, almost wrecked her team's comaraderie, had to be benched because of her conduct, went on a tik tok *ss shaking spree, mocked the WNBA because she was making more in endorsements in college, and then had the gall to play the victim card when her team lost. That's unhinged. She needs to grow her brand and stop being a cringe. She got famous because she clapped back at a cocky white girl, NOT because she dominated that championship game. The baller of that game was player #3 who lit up a series of 3 pointers. I'm not saying Reese doesn't have game...she does. She just needs to stop the foolishness and get serious. There's a reason she's being overlooked in the media while CC is being treated as "the female player who changed women's basketball". Reese actually did a LOT to bring attention to CC and the game itself but, because she was grossly unaware of the politics, she's barely mentioned. Unhinged.

Clark put her team on her back two straight seasons and eventually ran into a brick wall both times. It happens, especially when you make it to a championship game. It happened to John Wallace and Syracuse in 95/96 vs a stacked Kentucky team. There are many other examples. For Clark to do that twice while putting up the numbers she did, permanently stamps her legacy as perhaps the GOAT. Of course there will be those that move the goal post and will put more emphasis on rings simply because her team didn’t win one. The jealous gatekeepers are out there and are easy to spot. There are probably a few reasons for it, but among them is the fact that SHE was the one (and not them) that finally got millions of us to watch.

Clark is absolute Box Office every time she touches the ball, but because of her I know who all the SC players are, and I loved watching, I mean Cardoso was a force of nature in the final. She had 18 in the 1st quarter and they were only up like 7. I knew at that point they had no chance because SC was doubling them up on rebounds. You can’t win if you’re getting out-rebounded 2 to 1. Awesome game, great effort, but the better team won.

What I loved about Iowa was they werent supposed to be this good. They dont have the stars teams like LSU, U Conn, or South Carolina had. It's why teams were able to just shadow Caitlyn Clark like they did. They really dont have any other 'go to' girls. Not to say the team is bad by any means, but they just didnt have that big who couldnt be stopped or another lights out shooter that could take pressure off Clark.

So there was no chance, down by 4 with 4 minutes left? No sale, Steve. It was the SC effort on the boards and the mistakes from that pint on that lost this game. To declare Iowa gave up in the first half and yet still fought back in Q4 to absolutely make it a game with under 5 left just blows your insulting and ignorant statement to pieces. That being said, the play you mention is representative of a growth area for CC. This has happened before because she is so good at seeing the floor, she is occasionally lax when a good defender with talent presses her. There were many more significant events than that play.

Some of the arm chair analysis is complete bull. Some one time UCONN player said Caitlin had to have a championship to validate her greatness. Well let’s look back a few years to the Russell Chamberlain era. Russell has what 11 championships and Wilt had one or two. You some experts say that Russell was the best because of the championships. That is as stupid as the UCONN players analysis. UCONN Was blessed with multiple all Americans as was Boston blessed with a complete all star team. Usually good teams beat great players. Clark is a great player. South Carolina is a great team. The results were expected. But the fallacy of Russell being better than Wilt didn’t even wash with Russell. Wilt still holds 40 records and Russell holds zero records. Great teams trump great players. The SC players are very very good. Even Clark’s total scoring record is questionable. It took her 4 years to score more points than Maravich, who did it in 3 years with no 3 point line. Pete average 44.5 per game. His shorts have been charted and if he played with a 3 point line he would have averaged 57.3 per game. Did Clark really score more than Pete. I don’t think so. I played with Pete in some summer camps and individually he was Superman, but LSU never won anything while he was there. Everything is relative. Congrats to all NCAA women for a great tournament.

I think it's here already. 3 sc players already are Trans looking. Women's shoulders are built different. No matter how many weights you lift. Women don't have 5 o'clock shadows. They can have mustaches though with testosterone injections. The one girl was a man just look at her and you can tell.

Start listening at 1:20 and you'll learn everything you need to know about Clark...."how do I top"....followed quickly by "how do we top." She's an over hyped player focused on her individual accomplishments. SC won because they emphasized team.

The reason she got pass LSU was because of our guard play if it wasn't for that she wouldn't been in the final

You must have missed the push offs on the threes and the whining to the refs on every miss, turnover, etc.
