The UFC has allowed previous champions to remain champion while dealing with and recovering from injuries. The UFC just provides an interim belt to the next in line and unite the belts once the champion returns. Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill may have vacated the title on THEIR OWN FREE WILL to give other fighters the same opportunity they dreamt of at one point as well. You really are doing them an injustice if your stating they are being forced to do that if you don't have actual proof. Spread facts not rumors.

Feel you brother. Ruptured mine almost 12 months ago playing a domestic game of ball shooting a corner 3 and only now just getting about 6-8 weeks from a back to playing. This will take time and will be one of the hardest things you might go through. Get a knee scooter, that shi lit and will be a life saver (kinda fun too), buckle up, enjoy the little wins you have and milestones you reach no matter small it might be (could be first time your scar can be submerged after surgery idk but enjoy the little wins cause it will help the mental big time) and gl champ you’ll have a much better support team around you than most so no doubt you’ll make a full recovery and so will I. Can you explain the respect part? What's the alternative to vacating the belt when he won't be able to defend it for another, let's say, 6+ months? Dana calls him up and asks "Yo bud, we need you to fight a bit, it's already been a while" and Jamahal is supposed to go "Nah I'm good :-)" and keep the belt indefinitely? There's nothing grand or noble about vacating a belt because you're seriously injured, there's no other option.

Now this is just dumb when you look at thing in perspective. You can be a fan of the guy and still see things clearly mate. He was not a professional at all. He let himself blow out well over what his natural or fighting weight would be (if you've seen videos of him lately you would know that). Now to try and go back into training, carrying an extra 35-40 pounds that the ligaments and bones are not used to, you are literally asking for an acl tear or a horrible injury. It's just not how the human body works. You cannot put on a bunch of weight and try to move and do the same things, because your bones and ligaments are not used to the extra weight. I respect the shit out of this man for what he's done in light heavyweight, but I think even he knows, or atleast I hope he has people around him telling him, that letting himself blow out like that is malpractice, and definitely not the actions of a professional or champion

This is a huge deal and i can't imagine the mental stress & emotions you must be dealing with. *I ruptured my ACL & needed a donor reconstruction surgery and it's a long process of coming back from & it's so stressful because you want to be out there active.. i injured mine skateboarding. At least i got to skate until i was 30. I really hope your surgery goes well and your recovery goes really well. It's no joke. Maaan. I’m right there with you. The little victories along the way mean a lot, you’ll see. I’m in great shape, lift like 3 times body weight, run 6-12, etc. Tore mine June 11th my second time playing Pickleball. I had surgery June 22nd. Started walking in a boot, two weeks after surgery. It’s been three weeks now and I’m moving it around a lot more. Take it all in, time flies and things get better. We’ll be back!
