Not an Forest fire. This is an prairie fire. And yes it could have been started by someone or an spark. The ground is dry and the wind high. My grandmother family over 90 years ago had to flee an prairie fire in that area that consumed communities and city's that no longer exist anymore. They left in covered wagons and arrived to safety covered in soot and ash they lost everything including too many people they knew. Great grandfather didn't recover financially from that loss for 3 decades because of the depression then the dust bowl. Lived in a one room dugout in a hill one mile from the river.

In a fast moving fire which this was because of the winds who in their right mind would stop and put themselves in harm's way just to take pictures and/or video? Most people would be trying to get important documents, family members, pets gathered and then trying to escape. Wildfires wait for noone.
