watching in 2022 i now I realise that after MS the second best captain we ever had is not Ganguly not dravid definitely Rohit. It was Virat. I was the biggest supporter of Rohit that he should be made the three format captain but as soon as Virat was removed and he was given the mantle, Neither Rohit has been able to handle the pressure nor manage his workload. Juts taking rest this series, this tour this match its all been a musical chair game ever since he got the captaincy.. And the results are in front of everyone miserable show in asia cup, Lost the t20 worldcup (reaching the semis wouldn't count since India had the easier group with Zim, Netherland and UAE in it so technically India's worldcup began at the semis) He captained in just 2 test matches and has been out in almost every one. To make it worse he has zero regard for his fitness scrapping the yoyo test and being as fit as boasting a family pack with love handles in his belly. Ever since Virat has stepped down our team who use to dominate in bilaterals has started losing in that too. I think now I realise why MS chose Virat not rohit for his successor as he foresaw these things years ahead.

That's why I am watching pro kabaddi league these days because one thing I have clearly understood that BCCI and Virat Kohli along with Indian media and other players are all involved in destroying the Indian cricket as well as our emotions towards it. I miss the Dhoni era when cricketers used to play together with full spirits and enthusiasm. BCCI should be held responsible for not handling the players well.. Since Ambati Rayudu till Virat Kohli what has let Indian cricket down is stubbornness of BCCI and other selectors and their wrong selections. Sorry to say they all have polluted this beautiful game. 😞😞

Rishabh should be made the test captain because if he is made the captain then he will never throw his wicket like he did in 2nd test, and will perform maturely like he did in 3rd test bcoz after being made the captain he will know that the team is targeting match winning score and i will have to play responsibly till we reach that targeted score and after it I will play how I wants to..... And believe me it will make him very responsible and mature bcoz till now he have been a weapon for other captains and have played how they wanted him to play,, but after getting captainship he will be the captain and other players will be his captain, then it will be rishabh to decide how much runs the team needs to reach the safe score and how and when to use the mega weapon hidden in himself.... Which can kill every army. ...

With all due respect to Sachin and Dhoni, and both are not just individuals, they are an emotion, Virat's captaincy and more precisely his performances with Bat brought lot more Victories. In White Ball, he edges past Dhoni as a Batter and his Win% as Captain but UNLIKE Dhoni, has no ICC titles to show. Also, he didn't have the Man management skills of Captain Cool. In Red Ball, as a Batter much behind Sachin's ability but as a Captain far ahead of not just Sachin but every other Indian Test Captain. Overall, a Supreme Sportsperson and arguably the biggest Match Winning Batter from India.

Virat was probably going to retire and I think these conversations around test were going on while the team was playing the 3 test series. He was probably fed up with the whole situation and vibes around it. I also think that him sitting out of second test was this as well. He probably wouldn't have played the third test had India won the second test. It's a sad time in Indian cricket. I live in Chicago and Virat is the one who got me all excited about Test cricket. He could've been treated better given the kind of plyer he is.!! He'll be missed as a leader on the field!
