Another great insight into your team Dave. We’re here watching you go round the island right now, My wife shouts “there goes Wavey Davey” every time we see you. Hoping to see you in the paddock so we can say hello. Thanks Dave and good luck. Peter

Great effort by all as usual. Best wishes to you Dave for a safe and successful TT 23. Wishing Franco better luck at the next round. Great vid. I was thinking in years to come Franco will have this to look back on. Great stuff Dave.

Good Job Team. Gutting when something so tiny stops the racing. Rotten luck. Great being out with you on grid. Always an exciting feeling. I managed to sneak a grid walk among the Super Sports BSB Donington several years back. Bit naughty but no harm done and got the photos I wanted. I even got on telly 😄📷👊😎 Good luck sorting the bike. 🤞 Onwards. 🙂👊

A great look behind the scenes and a hint of the hard work that has to be done to enable a rider to race. Very interesting indeed. Gear selector problems Urgh! that's tough.

Another great vlog Dave & interesting insight to the weekend. Content was informative & i really enjoyed watching it. Gutted for all the team the gearbox went in the race, Franco showed a wise head to pull in rather than crash or cause further damage to the bike. I'm sure he will be back on it at Knockhill. All the best for the TT & look forward to the vlogs from there 👍✊

Ahh Dave, was absolutely gutted for Franco & the team for all the effort put in. Was it the transmission or the clutch assembly that decided to go on holiday? Hang in there & keep up the fight💪💪 Thanks for your continued support & contributions towards Franco & the team⭐️ Enjoy the TT with the team & no drinking too much😎

Great stuff to watch. Obviously a disappointment for the team with how the race went but Franco is a fast talented rider on a great machine with a great team behind him. I’m sure better results will be had during the rest of the season. Best wishes for the TT, will be keeping up to date with your efforts.

I thought Honda had sorted their dodgy gearboxes that jumped out of gear. I hope this is a one off issue, particularly with the TT starting tomorrow

Seems we've just been unlucky, unusual problem for the new bike

Intriguing about the 'return to Silverstone' settings, the Bitubo/Ohlins swap and air gap adjsmt. Engine braking, clutch, traction control venn diagram anyone? Pass me the aspirins. Knockhill Oulton Cadwell terrain changing circuits. With many Hondas in the championship, team confidentiality about settings appreciated. 😁

Sorry to hear about the problems with the gearbox. Is this something that's systemic with Honda gearbox's?? It seems like I've heard of this before in regard to Honda.

Great content. Didn't the fireblades have a false neutral problem at TT? Can't remember if before or after Covid break, or both.

what i can not understand is : why is before all miles start , not a test drive/ride made by mechanics ? is a race circuit really so small that no one shifting all gears incl. emergency break plus temperature overviewing ?
@obsession_engineering
@obsession_engineering Жыл бұрын
A test ride wouldn't stop the parts failing during the race, and there isn't room for it unfortunately

what average fork and shock position values do you target? is the average calculated over the entire lap or only during relevant sectors such as corner entry/mid-corner/corner exit?
@obsession_engineering
@obsession_engineering Жыл бұрын
I tend to look at total lap averages. 50mm is ball park for the forks and 12-15mm in the shock

great video Dave, question. why the heat cycles on the bike before going on track?
@obsession_engineering
@obsession_engineering Жыл бұрын
Gets the oil warm and the cases up to temp so all the clearances are correct. If you thrash it from cold the pistons expand faster than the bores!

Can you guys use a neutral lockout transmission?

No, has to be standard gearbox for superstock

@@obsession_engineering I know my Honda is infamous for false neutrals but it only happens at the very most moments either you’re coming down hard on the straight away s about to hard brake or you’re coming up from 1st and getting on it hard for 2nd gear.
