Super good ownership is vital to stay the course. The prem cant allow a fly by night smoke and mirrors owner again. If the mans money is all tied to property and not cash flow the spending to grow a team does not happen just the ashley model of player flipping for a profit and the supporters be darned.

A cap is just going to push the top end players out of the premier league. If someone just cares about their team, it may seem like it's good idea. But honestly all they needed to do was get rid of all the PSR rules that were clearly aimed at a club like Newcastle. If some of these owners can't afford to run a successful club that competes consistently, then sell it. Don't whine and complain about competition from wealthy ownership. This isn't going to have the positive effect people think it will. People point to the NFL, NBA, etc. as an example of putting a salary cap onto football, but it's a different animal. It's going to make the league weaker.
