BREAKING Reality in Terraria

Some of you may notice that it’s been 7 months since my last upload. This video was supposed to be released in July of 2023 and the earliest versions of the script date back to April 2023. I got very busy with life though and had to take an extensive break from content creation. Since then, many other creators on the platform have made their own glitch videos. I’m not the first person to make a video about glitches and I won’t be the last. Nobody “owns” the concept of glitch showcases, and it’s not my goal to rip-off and steal from other creators. I hope I was able to add a unique twist or flair to the subject in order to help make this video stand out. TL;DR, Terraria KZbinrs all share one brain cell :)

The very existence of content creation is for people to add a spin on games. Sure playing a game that is 20 years old and boring will lower your views but in any other form of game what makes people watch isn’t just the game but the editing and creator. Who would watch this if it was a regular joe with a monotone voice and little to no editing. What I’m trying to say is you don’t need to worry about not adding a new spin on a topic because your personality and editing do that for you, if that wasn’t the case youtube would be a library of clones speaking and editing in the same way with different games.

The best part of that rope glitch was exiting the contraption and then using the rod of discord fast enough to teleport to the area youve been scrolling by.

Hi, two small things: First, about the ghost dummy, it has two very important features : it can activate pressure plates, and it can be hoiked. That means that hoiking it back and forth on pressure plates can get you 60 wire activation per second, 4 times that if you use all wire colors. This is known as a dummy engine and is one of the most useful tools for a terraria wiring engineer. Second, you talk about hoiks and the old slime invincibility machine, but not the hoik invincibility machine that till works to this day ? For those who are curious, it works by hoiking you up and down so you take minimal fall damage, fast enough so your immunity frames never end.

This simple type is very fast for regular needs, but using the same premise with a different setup you can activate tons of pressure plates at the same time, and also use multiple dummies for insane amounts of activations per second. There are other engine types and I'm unsure how viable they are in comparison, but in conclusion dummies are indeed great for fast engines.

In the times of terraria when you still had Ocram, there was a way to dupe items even easier. The backup option on world creation screens, intended for stress removal, could be easily duplicate items in worlds _or_ on characters. I got so much iron this way, same with titanium and whatever else.

i always went with the magic mirror dupe. all you had to do was use your magic mirror, go into your inventory, and grab the item you wanted to dupe right after ur screen goes fully black. if you got the timing right, one copy will still be in your inventory but u will still have one grabbed

Back on old mobile, not sure if it was a thing on other versions, if two players took an item out of q chest at the same time, you’d both get it. I still remember coming home to find my brother showing me a full chest of terra blades.

My favourite terraria glitch will always be the classic active stone block and chest glitch from 1.1. There were a few variations, but by placing a chest on active stone blocks and deactivating it you could duplicate chests, allowing you to earn a lot of money with golden chests. You could even create them pre-skeleton using a boulder trap that generated randomly, allowing you to totally cheese the early game by buying a minishark before beating any bosses, and they were useful even in the late game for farming reforges.

@@rawmen2127 Unfortunately no, hoiks don't technically move you, rather they teleport you a short distance away which means than while being hoiks, you speed is technically 0mph

Terrasteel also talked about the dummies and teleporters glitch but instead he used the weapon that lets you regenerate your health and combined the dummies together using this glitch and used the weapon on the combined dummies and regenerated his health so fast.

I dont quite remember details but when i played mobile 1.2 terraria you could loot locked biome chests by placing x-mas tree blocks near it. It wasnt fast tho because you would need a lot of these to bug the chest, but result was worth it.

One use for the target dummy teleporter trick is a sort of long range player detecter, commonly useful for structures such as timer based circuit devices since timers auto deactivate when there are no players nearby

i found a much easier glitch to perform to pass through blocks. but you can only use it to make entrances that some enemies can't pass through. you just put a block next to your head, hammer it until you can go further and hammer it again. and now you just passed through!

Glitches and exploits are some of my favourite part of any video game, especially terraria. Many months ago I figured out how to perform transumation without needing a bast statue, wire, or anything that heavily relies on world generation. But I don't want it being patched so for now I'm keeping it (mostly) to myself. Along with another glitch discovered by somebody else and refined by me, I've reached the point where I can (and currently am) doing a playthrough where I beat skyblock starting with nothing but a single leaf block, not even the starter tools. It feels amazing breaking the game so hard you can accomplish everything with almost nothing.

Honestly, the one thing I hate about the hoik bug is how much it actually intrudes on regular gameplay. Quite often I'll grapple to a ceiling of a cave and just end up *inside* a group of blocks because the game randomly decided to hoik me inside of it. Wish *that* could get fixed without fixing all the other stuff.

There was an obscure duping glitch that involved the trash slot, i dont know if it works outside of xbox but my friends always used to do it but I never knew how. I believe it only works if you are on your friends world but im not sure has anyone heard of this?

2:01 You don't need a wall, Just press the downward Key at the moment the dash reaches top speed, and BOOM. Glich done P.S.: It Works with ceilings too, Just be in a 3 tall tunnel, walk through the tunnel, dash and jump at the moment you reach the 1 block wide hole in the ceilingwhile pressing up, and boom.

With how specific the Bass Statue glitch is to use, I kinda doubt that they'll try to remove it tbh. It doesnt really affect casual players who might discover it on accident, and if someone is willing to go out of their way to do something like this, then there's no way of stopping them from doing something other that'll just give them a huge advantage. Its overall pretty harmless, but it does give an opportunity for many people to talk about how some mechanics work in games, which can make people more interested in the inner parts of Terraria or just game making, so its not really a bug that requires fixing

I know you used to be able to make a simple invincibility device with nothing but a slime statue, a wiring timer, and some honey, which is how me and my step brother beat the Twins for the first time many years ago. No clue if that exploit is still around.

You missed a really old glitch, where on mobile Terraria (before updating to 1.3) you could make a copy of both characters and worlds. This was a great feature, but inevitably the most broken duplication glitch I have ever seen

Another duplication glitch existed on old mobile versions of terraria. If you and another player picked up an item in a chest at the same time it would duplicate. I imagine it had something to do with the chest pausing the game or something.
