As I learned from your McMahon deep dive video, Shane has actually had a lot of interesting ideas both on the business side and wrestling side. It makes sense the dude knows the business of wrestling at the level AEW wants to be at when it comes to actually running a company. Obviously him being on screen will be CM Punk return levels of ratings, I would be curious to see what he could do to make AEW different.

On the one hand, Shane's a bad wrestler, and I wouldn't want to see him in an AEW ring. On the other hand, he is the kayfabe funder of the Elite. I'm 50/50 on it; if it's a limited contract for the rest of the Heelte storyline and he has a few matches, I'd fold my arms and watch with a sneer. If he's solely to 'fund' the Elite's actions and doesn't get in the ring for them, I'd be happy for the comedy role he'll provide. But we'll have to wait and see.
