Personally, I am not a hater. I always give credit where credit is due. As I said, I've been playing off and on for over 4 decades. What I said is true. Maybe she is playing in the audio and she over-dubbed it, like she said she did on the Whitesnake video. Or not. But the audio and the video do not match. If you play guitar, you will see what I am saying.

59 and been playing guitar for a long time. It’s refreshing to see someone that young playing Dokken. Please never stop. My only advice is to play a little bit more aggressive. There are some notes that need to be struck a little harder. Other than that, you’re awesome!

The version of Dokken in the Breaking the Chains video was Jeff Pilson‘s first video. The actual bass player on that album was Juan Crocier from Ratt🤘🏻🎸🤘🏻

I saw an interview with them, which is how I found this out. Jeff had just joined the band right before the video shoot, so if you watch this video, you'll notice he's not really playing but more like he's patting the strings. Horrible Bass Lip Synching!!! LOL!!! @@jefferybettinger3632

Very nice Emily.... Last summer, I started picking apart, "In my Dreams".... That's a fun one.... Sounds cool with slight delay, chorus, and reverb.... Naturally, distortion goes without saying.... 😏🤙

George lynch was such a MONSTER back in the day......love this tune. Lynch had such reach and finger strength......he is so retraind on this track though.....a real example of "playing to the song,not your ego".....compared to what he is capable of......Anybody out there able to play the solo to "in my dreams" without out tapping? Id love to see it!(Challenge for you there Emily!)......I think it's Dokkens best song.....(George's best solo..... probably).....thanks...bye😂❤

George Lynch, is my absolute favorite guitarist and for over 40 yrs Dokken was my favorite band! That was until recently, when I found Lovebites! This band will blow you out of the water! If you like guitars and metal, Lovebites is up there with Metallica and Megadeth, maybe even better. They have tons of great songs but l'll give you a few live ones to check out, "MDO" "Set the World on Fire" "Scream For Me" "United We Stand" and "Break the Wall" try those 5 live versions to start. Trust me, you'll find many many more great songs and you will fall in love them… Btw… that was pretty awesome!!! Keep Rokken with Dokken 🤘🏼

I got to see them on 1st van Halen monsters of rock, such a concert. Early Metallica, dokken, van Halen, just great bands. And believe or not. A 5 band mega ticket only cost me 25 bucks then. Cheap these days. And such a concert.

Very nice work. I’m so glad to see the younger people that have an interest in the older music. Dokken was once one of the most popular bands for a while but then kinda fell out of the limelight. You are a very talented lady and I hope you keep enjoying your guitar and never give it up. An instrument of any kind is in my opinion an extension of the heart. If you’re happy and instrument lets everyone know and if you’re sad then it tells everyone that too. Beautifully done

Well done I been "Rockin with Dokken" since 1984 . Tooth & Nail was the 1st Dokken record or at that time Cassette Tape I ever purchased from Dokken . I had started playing Guitar in 1980 but really got serious after I heard Lynch play !! Lynch & Warren DeMartini from RATT both had a massive Influence on me and then Metallica & other Thrash Bands all effected the player I became . Keep Practicing and ROCK ON !!!"

That means you’re not very familiar with it because basically every riff is not how George plays it. Not saying it’s a terrible cover but this is not how you play it correctly.

Yeah, I'm going to agree with @gabrielb. Her cover is good, but I think there's a few places it could be better. For instance, on the chorus I'd play an open G chord instead of a barred G. Pretty sure that's how George played it. Would like to see more attack with your picking hand.

Fantastic! I'm amazed that you're able to play with your nails on the left hand without them accidentally hitting the other strings! I don't have to worry about it given that I've been a nail-biter since I was a kid! I know, nasty habit! lol I seriously dig the White Lion - Pride vinyl case I see in the back, BTW. ...another absolutely amazing guitarist! Vito was so creative with his structure, being able to create such a full sound with only one guitar line most of the time, and his tapping was other-worldly!
