ZZZ hooked me in with Caesar since she is like one big reference to Fate/Stay Night

@@Skullnezz “King” is a large part of Caesar’s identity while being a girl AKA Saber. And when you pull Caesar, she even says “are you my proxy?” which references “are you my master?” in Fate! Also Caesar’s design is very reminiscent to Jeanne Alter. She shares a lot of similarities with her and one of Jalter’s charm points is her gap moe, which Hoyo is also pushing for Caesar There could be more like Calydon being phonetically similar to Camelot but that’s kinda reaching lmao

The combat is the reason why I became so intruged with the game in the first place. I saw how cool anby and billy was, the longer I kept playing, the more I got deeply into it. I'm now a ZZZ fan... this is the first ever gatcha game I've ever played and probably the only one since I don't like turn based. Don't get me started with OST's in this game. The new 1.2 music in combat is soooooooo goooood, I might add it into my music playlist for working out at the gym.

It's Twitter, they will hate everything. Also, I've seen a good amount of hate on Facebook and Instagram, there's the vocal minority who screeches everytime they see sex appeal in games simply because it's not their cup of tea, and therefore in their logic, it's bad anyone who likes it is also bad.

What I really like is how each new Hoyo game feels catered to their audience as they age. I enjoyed Genshin in my late teens when I had loads of time to play; I started Star Rail when I became more busy and was burnt out on open world; ZZZ hits that perfect balance to me - Star Rail's auto is a huge plus for others but for me, I want to be engaged while playing and not just AFK-farm, so the fact ZZZ wants me not only to play the game, but to master its combat mechanics and become better at playing it is perfect for me. I want something I don't have to too much time in, but also something that activates all my neurons while playing it.

9:34 I swear, the second I saw those iconic foreheads, I swear, my soul felt as if it left my Body! Honestly, this was a really well-made video showing the strengths and weaknesses of this game. I've been pretty hooked on it for the past couple of months, and honestly, I really enjoy the characters, the story, the art, and definitely the satisfying combat (and Von Lycaon). I'd have to agree with the rest of this comment section in that this is a pretty good video essay, being well thought out but also funny. And thank god, I was so happy that you actually mention Code Lyoko, I may have only first watched it in 2020, but it is one of my all-time favorite shows and I have had a severe obsession with it for the past 4 years. I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw this similarity (the crazy part is, I even called it a few minutes ahead, but was still actually surprised when it was mentioned)

The gameplay is really fun and rewarding, the characters have a lot of charm and personality. Both combined really shine during combat making everyone unique. Honestly the looks are just the cherry on top.

As a very mentally ill gacha player, I love ZZZ, it's definitely my favorite Gacha right now, Hoyo's games are always really good but this one just clicked with my brain, the more modern urban aesthetic just gave them the opportunity to make some really unique and interesting character designs in both the men and the women (I do have a slight preference towards the men tho, hope they make some more of them ) Also all Hoyo's games have banger music, they are quite different from ZZZ tho because of the settings of the games, but they're all really really good

I dont think that the character visuals are that important to me. it should at least look good, but visuals alone dont make them interesting. zhu yuan is stacked, but she is a very patient and considerate individual. she calls her mom everyday, and even gives tech support to parents without screaming (only possible to saints). she's hot, and emotionally stable. that's hot.

100% agree ! That's why I don't have any problems with the sexualization of the characters, they fit very well with the story, grown adults and they don't seem forced...for the most part...

This is a really high quality video, also well edited, you definitely deserve way more subscribers. I agree with all your points too, especially the music, I'm actively bopping my head in combat while dodging and reacting and having a good time. I'd like to add that I enjoy the story and character's quite a bit too and as for the more mature audience thing, I agree with that too, I think Mihoyo has said they purposefully gave their artists as much creative freedom as they could for the sake of expression and it shows, they're not afraid and confident in their product and know their audience. Also the response to feedback might actually be their strongest suit, right now they're 100% listening to, applying feedback and not just sitting on things, I think the game can only go up from here.

I like your talking style here. Many videos talk extremely fast but you really take the time to say what you want to say and the slight pauses give me time to absorb it. The only people who get upset with a game's sex appeal like this one, are the ones to can't differentiate fiction from reality. Big booty police officer is well written character and isn't just there to be eye candy. The women in the game aren't made to mock women, make them seem lesser to men, they're usually the heros and have some of the best character work. It always makes me wonder if these people see women who dress sexy in real life, and get upset with them for wanting to look and feel sexy.

i read somewhere that zzz is called the "tourist filter" as a lot of "those" people were thrown off by the fanservice or they just couldn't handle the games difficulty. and i believe it's a really good thing. those people will never contribute financially anyway and will just be complaining for every irrelevant thing they don't like in the game. better keep those noisy people away 😆

BTW, Backup Battery Charge is kinda hit'n'miss thing. It is nice to have, but it definitely don't replace logging in twice a day. The thing is, you get 1 charge once every 18 minutes. So, it's not 1:1 with normal battery charge, it's 3 times slower. O_O To get 240 backup battery charge you have to be offline for whole 3 days with capped battery and that's 1 day worth of normal battery charge and to reach 2400 cap, you have to be offline for the entire month. So, nice to have, but if you don't want to waste anything you still have to come online twice a day or so. -_-

I've seen a lot of people talk shit about ZZZ because it's a "gooner game", but you couldn't say it better in this video. The fanservice doesn't feel out of place, I think it just adds to the general aesthetic they're trying to create; the characters look like 90s fighting games and we all know how they were designed back then. I like to compare it to Kill La Kill, that anime has A LOT of degenerate scenes and yet it doesn't feel wrong because it's just part of the title(? the whole power system revolves around getting stripped lmao. Bayonetta, Guilty Gear or NieR also comes to mind, sometimes you just have to embrace the "plot".
